Let's Have a Statement From The Thais About Pearson's Job Being Safe

When we had the bad run the Thais were lining up Redknapp to come in.

Then Pearson won four games on the bounce, how can you sack a bloke after that?

They have now put themselves in a bad situation, and what they need to do is be honest with Nigel, explain their thinking and if they are open I'm sure he will be understanding (ahahaha).

On a personal level I believe that despite the good run of form lately it will only take one dodgy result to see him gone sadly.

I really hope we can all show our support for Nigel on Saturday.

This really shouldn't be about how many games we lose. Right from the start of this season we've played the type of football which I've begged us to play for years and which is much more likely to win us promotion than the negative, over-cautious dross we've been served up by countless managers in the past.

Initial bad results were neither here nor there we were attacking the games with pace, creating chances, putting the opposition under long periods of severe pressure and grafting hard to a man.

We're still doing that but more effectively in terms of results now that the side has had chance to settle and gel. Quite why we would now seek to disrupt that progress I've no idea.

The Thais are like spoilt children. They want everything yesterday. Well good parents teach their kids patience and I'm quite sure that with the application of a little patience Pearson will deliver more for the Thais than their decision-making probably deserves.

I'm thinking of course of the money they threw at Sven and the sort of rent-a-crowd mess he delivered and that's before you consider some of the individual signings who were totally unsuited to the task in hand, who were never Leicester-City-type players and even some who surely couldn't have been watched or properly scouted by anyone with any serious football knowledge.

It's not going away though, with E Mids today just showing a clip of NP being interviewed about Redknapp coming in. Says he wants to keep the job and his enthusiasm is undimmed. Must be getting pissed off with it though........

As I see this, the owners want the highest profile they can get for the club for financial reasons, NP lets himself down by not being a media man, being on the Radio and TV as much as possible where the KING POWERS name keeps coming up, for example, we very rarely get a mention on Talk Sport, and minor reports in the national press, ask yourself why, even when we have climbed to the top of the Championship, NP must keep LCFC in the football news and on peoples lips all the time and not just here in Leicester.

We are not a man utd. We wont attract the sort of fans the Thais want. They need to take a look at what they are doing.

Keeping the club's name in the media spotlight is dead easy. It doesn't need Pearson to do that. Yes, I think he should work on his media skills - it ticks an important box for any manager - but it really is simple providing you have someone the manager trusts, who's articulate, good humoured and who knows the manager's philosophies, his policies and the playing side inside out.

Never dull being a Leicester fan. As I said they do not even have to deny being in contact with Redkapp. Just release a statement expressing their delight at our run of form at present under the management of Pearson. Job done. No more need for speculation.

It strikes me that their silence speaks volumes to what has gone on. Not good, especially with the International break coming up...

IF NP goes anytime soon (I.e. next few months) then I for one will completely lose faith in the ownership of this club. FINALLY we have what we've needed for so long - consistency. Sacking NP would be beyond stupid

At the moment it seems increasingly likely this may only end one way and that would be the same as last time with another club being allowed to approach Pearson and him going. I think this would be a crying shame, I am a fan of the man and what he's done. I think that he's returned to the club after the way he was treated speaks volumes regardless of any money involved he must like the club to have come back. But with history repeating itself I think he'll go at the first sniff of interest and I wouldn't blame him.

Just when he got us going again :(

This better not happen, but if it does to be fair to the Thais they will probably release a pillowcase with the words to when you're smiling on for everyone to cry into.

We need to make our feelings very clear on Saturday

If there's even a shred of truth to this then what a shower of cvnts the Thais are. Losing 4 out if 5 is no excuse to approach Redknapp. I've given them the benefit of the doubt and not got involved in all this and will continue to do so until something concrete happens but it looks more and more likely that they're up to something. If so then yet again they come across like they don't have a clue about football.

Honestly, if they sack NP now for Redknapp my affiliation with Leicester City will be at its most distant. It would take a lot of time to repair the damage.

People may well argue that managers, players, owners etc are transistory and the love of the club is permenent and should come first but it just wouldn't sit well with me at all. I think it would be, on principals of honesty and integrity, an ethically bankrupt decision. I would find it hard to associate myself with that.

I would love it, absolutely love it if Pearson stuck the nut on Natalie Jackson!! Cannot stand the women, she is the female equivalent of Stringer.

If Pearson was replaced when we are playing some of the best football since, dare I say it Martin O'Neil it would be a disgusting way to treat a manger. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see Pearson go to Southampton when Adkins gets the chop.

Is it just me who thinks we might be overreacting just a little bit? Nothing's happening at all as far as anybody can tell.

His primary role is to win games, it's up to the marketing people to make the most of that, if they really wanted an attention seeking manager why did they employ Pearson it's not as if they didn't know what he was like.

I think Knocky's 2 goals last night brought us exactly the type of press coverage they need.

It matter's not what Pearson is like the media are simply not interested in Championship football anyway, the only interest they take is in those that have just been relegated or if they have some motormouth in charge, admittedly this puts Blackpool at the front of the Championship publicity queue but I'll settle for Pearson rather than Holloway's verbal diarrhea.

Excellently put. Sir Alex Ferguson isn't exactly media friendly. He went through a spell of not even talking to the BBC! He gets judged by his results on the field...not off them! The same should be said about Nigel.

Didn't Sousa get the the 100% confidence of the board and was out of the back door a couple of days later?

I don't want a statement from the Thai's. When that happens I am going down the bookies to put a tenner on 'Arry being our new manager.

I'm not getting that excited about this. As far as I can see, it is a nothing story getting a little media hype and a shedload of Foxestalk hype.

Maybe the Thais haven't commented because they don't know about it?

Maybe the Thais did consider a change when we had lost 3 out of 5 games at the beginning?

Maybe the Thais know about it but are giving it the respect it deserves and ignoring it?

As far as I can see, there is not a shred of evidence anything untoward has happened. Different media outlets are picking up on a non-story at different times and this is why it keeps resurfacing.

We could, at best, make ourselves look very silly by making a massive point of this on Saturday. We could, in the worst case scenario, do lasting damage to the fan's relationship with the owners over unsubstantiated rumours.

Can we stop comparing chalk with cheese please!!!!!

SAF is extremely media friendly - he gives good frank open interviews and justifies his decisions openly.

He's also won how many Premierships / Cups?? They give him the right to occasionally give short shrift to a stupid question.
