J.Lisemore Posted 20 October 2012 Share Posted 20 October 2012 I feel that if we're still doing well by January time, we'll sign a Prem striker to push us over the line. Kenwyne Jones preferably.

Mack Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 We need a finisher. Vardy / Waghorn are not cutting it and whilst I was relieved we left St Andrews with a point a clinical finisher up top would have probably seen us take all three. dayday Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 In the people today.Martin Óneill is prepared to let Wickham go on loan....I think if Vardy and co continue to waste chances..we have to look at bringing somebody in to cement our position. Last season Nugent went of the boil..if it happens again who is going to score the goals....just because we are top we must not stop trying to improve the squad. Happy Fox Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 Could do with another forward as an option because barring Nugent and Vardy the other options we have aren't of a good standard.

kingfox Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 sadly yes! Of course I was joking, but at least people found it funny. Would only take one striker from League 2, and that would be Nahki Wells from Bradford, looks a great prospect.
LesterGloster Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 We are playing well and creating chances. One day soon, some team is going to suffer when all the shots from our existing strikers, whoever they are, go in. Surely not every goalie in the league will play a blinder against us. Just be patient and see if I'm not right.
Legend fox Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 Kenwyne Jones ? think this is a good shout but would still be happy with what we've got Nuge and Vardy ( with Schlupp as a back up)
MGLCFC Posted 21 October 2012 Share Posted 21 October 2012 Frazier Campbell is the type of striker who would get on the end of the through balls from Knockeart. Good finisher too, not sure if he's injured though.
Col city fan Posted 22 October 2012 Share Posted 22 October 2012 I think it may be time to push the boat out ( if we can) and get Austin from Burnley in Jan. That could be the icing on the cake. I like Vardy and want him in the side but I think it's fair to say if we had had another top form striker at the start of the season we'd probably be many points clear already. Regarding Wickham... I think it's a risk. He's not had much football. If possible, it would be great to sign that striker who we kinda know is going to make a dramatic impact immediately. Babylon Posted 22 October 2012 Share Posted 22 October 2012 I think it may be time to push the boat out ( if we can) and get Austin from Burnley in Jan. It's all about being in the top few places come Jan. If we are then people will want to come. Last year if we'd been higher us I have a feeling that Sharpe would have come here despite the rumours about us not stumping up enough wages. Ric Flair Posted 22 October 2012 Share Posted 22 October 2012 I think a striker will be brought in within the next week or two. 8 league goals in 11 games from our strikers is hardly prolific for a team whose top of the league and Pearson will strengthen if he can. Not sure Wickham is the answer though? I like that Joshua King from Man Utd, not sure if he's on loan anywhere. His hold up play is very impressive and although he might not be proven, he'd be a perfect foil for Nugent and Knockaert.

Steve_Walsh5 Posted 22 October 2012 Share Posted 22 October 2012 I'd like to see Futcas given a chance. When he came on Saturday he seemed to hold the ball up quite well and with decent delivery coming in from the wings he'd provide a threat. Anyone has got to be better than Waghorns performance on Saturday.
