Add to that I grew up on Blue and Gold so I'm in my element with those Gens. I wouldnt mind a decent recommendation if youve got a decent ROM - as long as I can have Genger and the gang. Militank never caused me an issue, ever. I either had Croconaw using bite by that point or something with sleep powder/leech seed to manage it. Also heard people complain of Brock in Blue/Red/Yellow Primeape and a Butterfree easily take care of that too Doubt you'll be getting any Gengars, or Alakazams, Machamps or Golems for that matter, if you can't find an emulator with trade support.

You can pick up a 2DS (the lowest spec) for 40 quid on ebay and play with all the original features like trading. You will also be able to transfer the Charizard you've trained from it to the latest 3DS Pokemon games if you want. Lots of other great games on a 3DS as well like Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem and N64 Zeldas. It's a good console with a lot of support.

Ive used gamesharks too and theres no harm as long as you dont RareCandy boost. Even as a kid I used to doop my Ho-ohs and had infinite master balls so exploits have always been there. Not walking around with a 2ds or whatever with Pokemon in my back pocket, they might aswell make an android version

Carl the Llama Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Even better solution to trade evolves in a rom: Download a program called YAPE then use it to open the rom, once you've done that you can select any pokemon and change pretty much everything about it including how it evolves. I'm gonna put the trade pokes at 36 and start an Emerald save. Edit: God dammit they don't improve the physical/special designations until gen IV.
