Corky Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 The quality of a goal should usually be judged on the reaction at the time- did you think it was special when it was happening, or a fluke/ not that special when it occurred?
Alf Bentley Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Always loved this one, as a team goal, though with hindsight Sunderland aren't brilliant at closing down! Go to about 2:30
Danizen Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Genuinely one of my favourite players, I think he's very much a mercenary but his talent is on another level and tonight, just WOW. I'm honestly struggling to think of a better performance from one player. Serious FLAIR. I'd have to say Luis Ronaldo against United in 2003. He absolutely beasted them and got a standing ovation from the Old Trafford crowd when he came off. I can't remember that ever happening before or since.

There was Ronaldinho against Real Madrid as well, where he got a hattrick and a standing ovation by the Real fans. Amazing scenes. I figured this would be the thread for 'Zlatan porn' as the video title creatively suggests: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=v0_Fg_C0_64

The goal early on where he keeps dummying the shot is the best imo
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 I'm honestly struggling to think of a better performance from one player. Thierry Henry for Arsenal against Inter in a 5-1 win at the San Siro in '03. Never been as in awe of a player than I was watching that. HIGHLIGHTS -
Finnegan Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 love the fact on the BBC website that says Arsenal could have signed him in 2001 for 3m but opted for Franny Jeffers for 8m instead. You're welcome, Matt.

You're welcome, Matt. That could challenge Liverpool's decision to turn down Cristiano Ronaldo in favour of signing El Hadj Diouf as one of the most comical transfers.
