Fox92 Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Didn't mean to come across like a mardy feck, just really dislike Bellamy! ... You didn't. It's only you're opinion, like I have mine. I didn't mean to either.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I absolutely love David Beckham, fantastic gesture what he is doing with his wages. Yeah I know a lot of other Footballers do it as well but a hell of a lot more don't. I shall be purchasing a PSG shirt with Beckham on the back.

Uncle Albert Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 But he has tattoos. The terrible bastard. I love his ink.
Finnegan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Bellers is a leg end. Beckham's a metro ponce. That's all I have to say really.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I agree Finners with Craig Bellamy, love him, wish Liverpool still had him.
Fox92 Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 But he has tattoos. The terrible bastard. I didn't say that.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I didn't say that. To be honest mate, you really don't have to explain yourself.
Langston Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 That doesn't influence my opinion of Beckham, he's still one of the most overrated players. Really? I think people misinterpret his overwhelming popularity for being over-rated on a football pitch, as if it's fashionable to label Beckham over-rated. Simple matter is there was a period from 2001-06 where he was one of the finest midfielders on the planet, regardless of what you think about 'Brand Beckham'. To play for Man United, Real Madrid, and AC Milan and be well-regarded by the majority from all three sets of fans is some bloody achievement. I fail to see how he isn't deserving of any plaudits aimed in his direction and how what he's achieved in the game constitutes praise that isn't justified. I'd argue that given how quickly some are to disregard his ability, he's actually been under-rated by pundits and fans alike over the past decade or so, if anything. He's much, much more than 'just a right foot,' which tends to be the tired excuse his critics bring out when they fancy a bash.

After he broke his foot he was never really the same and it got my goat that he was automatically picked for England like he was some kind of superstar when actually he'd been poor for years. But that's been England's problem for ages now, he's not the only one.
Guest MattP Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Lets face it Beckham is the 'half time show of the superbowl' to football. He's irrelevant from a football point of view now, he arrives to court and give the club he plays for some PR. He's for women, poofs and thickos who have a passing interest in the game to watch SSN and make it look like they are interested. Sooner he fcuks off the better.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 My love for Beckham went from 'Respect' to 'Love' when he was at Madrid and Capello said he was surplus to requirements but he got his head down, trained harder than he ever had and got himself back into the Madrid side that eventually went on to win La Liga, think it was his last season before moving to the Galaxy. People will either love him or hate him, I must admit when he was a United player I couldn't stand the man, I like him for England and his one man show v Greece but that was it. His move to Madrid was when I finally appreciated Beckham as a player and a role model.
Jordan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I got a kick out of Beckham responding a question asking if his decreasing pace at 38 years old will be a problem--he said losing pace isn't a concern because he never had any to begin with.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I know he has, and what? That doesn't influence my opinion of Beckham, he's still one of the most overrated players. Gerrard is a more complete player, and stayed loyal to the club he loves, Beckham didn't. And if you're on about achievements, Matt Le Tissier is one of my favourite players ever and he basically won nothing. I'd rather be overrated than a thug

I just think he is overrated, and nobody else's opinion influences me... I've always felt he isn't as complete as other midfielders; he has never been good in the air, and he can't tackle, for example. I'd rather be overrated than a thug Ok.
ScouseFox Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 http://sports.yahoo....16514--sow.html Future News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic announces he is donating his entire salary to Zlatan Ibrahimovic Following David Beckham's announcement upon signing a five-month contract with PSG that he will donate his entire salary to a Parisian children's charity, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will donate all of his wages to himself. "I heard Beckham's decision and it made me think," Ibrahimovic told reporters while on duty with the Swedish national team. "Who is most deserving of all of the money that I, Zlatan, am paid? The answer is Zlatan. The children of Paris are not leading Ligue 1 in goals this season. I am. I have 20 goals. The next best players have 12. Twelve! If anything, the children of Paris should be giving me even more money for having the privilege of being in the same city as my incredible quality. And so should David Beckham. Call it a Zlaritable donation." The initial wave of praise for Beckham's charity decision last week quickly led to a backlash as French critics are now accusing him of donating his salary, signing a short-term deal and maintaing residence in England as a way to avoid the proposed 75 percent tax rate on France's top earners. But Ibrahimovic finds hypocrisy in this criticism. "When I signed with PSG the politicians called my wages 'indecent' in a time when so many people are struggling, even though it is a lot of money that can be taxed and help the country," Ibrahimovic continued, while demonstrating Taekwondo moves. "Now Beckham gives all of his wages to a local charity and people call him a tax dodger. Both are examples of stupid people complaining about good things. It is a waste of breath. Like Pep Guardiola blowing up his own birthday balloons, which I then pop with an overhead kick the second he is finished. These people should be subject to a 75 percent stupidity tax payable to the Bank of Zlatan. Then they will have something to really complain about."
MC Prussian Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Five months in Paris. Just long enough not to qualify for the high-income tax, donations that are tax-free and if rumours are true, Beckham will get a private chauffeur, a hotel room fully paid for by PSG and a meagre 20% off every shirt sold with his name on it. He's such a social person. Btw, fans will have to wait another couple of weeks for him to even show up on the bench - he's some distance away from being match-fit.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2013 Posted 7 February 2013 Quality player David Beckham, there were certain weakness's in his game but when you've got one of the best right foots in the history of world football you can get away with it. He's performances for England may have been less explosvie as they were earlier on but his right foot still got us out of a few holes in 2006 and we missed him when he went off against Portugal.
