Bert Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Kasper 5 - at fault for a goal, kicking was poor. RDL 5 - attacks well but his overall performance was average. Konch 6 - didn't do anything wrong but wasn't a standout. Morgan 7 - was given a hard time but came out on top. Whitbread 6 - great in the air, starting to find some consistency. Dyer 6 - pace was good as always but wasn't utilised enough. End product poor. Knockaert 6 - lovely goal, but anything else he tried didn't come off. King 4 - needlessly put the ball out for a corner which lead to their 2nd, bullied a by an lcfc reject who couldn't make the grade here, and every shot he had was straight at the keeper. Drinkwater 6 - a strong second half performance after a quiet first. Waghorn 6 - not the player he's been for us in the past few games, gave everything. Nugent 6 - worked hard but didn't get much service, he's not the type to run onto long balls. Marshall 6 - had a positive impact and should start against Millwall. Futacs 6 - the best he's been for us. Should've come on earlier. Vardy 6 - rescued a point but nothing else.
kingfox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Schmeichel 5 - At fault for the first goal, kicking off again today De Laet 5 - Got beat too many times, and his crossing was poor Morgan 6 - One of his worst games, but was keen to press on at the end Whitbread 6 - Played quite well, but too much hoof ball for my liking Konchesky 5 - Didn't impress me, just a normal average performance Knockaert 5 - Apart from the goal, he did nothing, passing was terrible Drinkwater 7 - Not very good first half, but second half he got stuck in and passed well King 6 - Should of scored, but in and out of the game quite a lot Dyer 5 - Did absolutely nothing right to be subbed Waghorn 6 - His worst game for a while Nugent 5 - Was awful for the majority of the game, so poor it was depressing and surprising Subs Marshall 6 - Meh Vardy 6 - Did nothing until his goal, so credit to him for saving us Futacs 6 - Did well, put his body about and won most of his headers.
Yojoe36 Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Kasper 3 RDL 6 Morgan 7 Whitbread 6 Konch 6 Dyer 5 Knockaert 5 King 3 Drinkwater 6 Waghorn 5 Nugent 5 Subs: Marshall 6 Futacs 7 Vardy 6

davieG Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I wouldn't give any of them more than a 5 they threw that game through their complacency, oh for a team with killer instinct.
Danno Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I wouldn't give any of them more than a 5 they threw that game through their complacency, oh for a team with killer instinct. They should be ashamed of themselves mate, was painful to watch at times. Knockaert and Marshall were dire
Leicfox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Kingfox/Bert Did Vardy get any opportunity to actually do anything other than the goal he scored in the 30mins he got to play or do people think he should do it all on his own?
Danno Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Did Vardy get any opportunity to actually do anything other than the goal he scored in the 30mins he got to play or do people think he should do it all on his own? He actually did alright but had no one to pass it to since everyone seemed to have left their brain at home today
kingfox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Kingfox/Bert Did Vardy get any opportunity to actually do anything other than the goal he scored in the 30mins he got to play or do people think he should do it all on his own? The whole team was poor, but for me he offered nothing when he came on, he was like Nugent, Nugent ran around but did bugger all and nothing paid off for him. He just scored a goal and that was about it, nothing else.
lcfcsnow Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Schmeichel 5 De laet 5 - I agree that he looks good going forward but his end product is worse than Dyers, he either ends up going one step too far and running the ball out or crosses into no mans land. Morgan 7 Whitbread 7 Konchesky 6 Knockaert 5 - neat finish for the goal and some delightful passes when they came off, loses the ball too much though. He'd be best in the middle or right of a 3 in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Drinkwater 6 King 5 Dyer 5 - seems to have gone back to the Dyer of old, still offers great pace but I fear his hibernation period is starting, later than usual though. Waghorn and Nugent - 5 - this partnership doesn't appear to work. Waghorn started well, great set pieces but faded and Nuge never got in the game today. Marshall 6 Vardy 7 - I've been a critic but that was the first time I've really been impressed, not just with his goal but he also set up King towards the end with a great little pass which should have resulted in a goal. If he can sort his ball control out he'll be more than useful. Futacs 6
okie fox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Schmeichel -5- Gets an assist on their first goal De Laet -7- Got forward well Morgan -8- Tried to get things going with forward runs. Class above the rest Whitbread -7- Did his job Koncheskey -6- Did nothing wrong Knockaert -6- Surprised he was the first to be taken off, has the skill to unlock their defense King -5- Never got control of midfield. Barnsley won most of the second balls in midfield Drinkwater -4- As above. Weak, wimped out of at least one challenge, little creativity. The Leicester reject Dawson was better than him. Dyer -6- Started out well, but faded badly Waghorn -4- Totally dominated by their centre backs Nugent -5- Needs decent service along the ground, not the ball hooved up to him Marshall -5- Little impact, not skillful enough Vardy -6- Got behind their defence a couple of times Futacs -6- Made a difference by winning some headers
acooling08 Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Only 2 players who warrant above a 6 were Morgan and Whitbread imo, good defensive pairing.
Corky Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 The starting 11 can have a collective 5. Vardy and Marshall 6.
Walshy5 Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Kasper 2 his fault they got back into it in the first place de leat 5 going forward but wank defensively morgan 6 your a defender stay back! thought we'd got rid of Bamba shitbreard 4 konch 5 knockeart 5 milk whatever we can in Jan transfer wise! drinky 5 kingy 0 did he play?! Nugent 4 clearly not fit Waggy 3 back to his shit self! Dyer 8 the only player to come out the game with any credit
Swarles Barkley Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Bert whos the lcfc reject with your king rating?
ADK Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I'll give everyone a 5. Even Alan Young couldn't think of anyone to give MotM to.
Captain... Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Some very harsh ratings for king there, he didn't do a lot wrong today, did his usual job of mopping up and made some great forward runs and on another day could have scored a couple. ...but Barnsley had 3 to our 2 in the middle and for some reason after we scored our movement dried up and we had no outlets, which didn't make sense as they should have been pushed chasing this game. Kasper was massively at fault for the first and the whole defence must take collective responsibility for the second as we failed to deal with some fairly tame balls into the box. It was a bizarre game not helped by a lenient ref, I'm not sure how we went so badly off the boil in the first half, but the stats and highlights will show that despite everything we totally dominated Barnsley and would have scored a hatful but for some quality defending/keeping.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 Bert whos the lcfc reject with your king rating? Stephen Dawson for Barnsley I'd have thought.
kingfox Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 Stephen Dawson for Barnsley I'd have thought. Yep was part of our academy wasn't he, then you had Kelvin Etuhu come on god was he shit for us.
Leicestermad85 Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 best player was morgan again, hes solid aint had a bad game apart from v wolves
Phil Bertstreet Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 Schmeichel 4 De laet 5 Konch 5 Morgan 6 Whitbread 7 Dyer 5 Knocky 5 (includes +1 for scoring) Drinkwater 6 King 4 Waggy 4 Nuge 5 Marshall 5 Vardy 6 Futacs 5
shen Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 Stephen Dawson for Barnsley I'd have thought. I remember him being heralded as the next big thing when he was here. Was Thracian behind that or was it even before he joined?
MGLCFC Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 best player was morgan again, hes solid aint had a bad game apart from v wolves Did you go to Charlton - unfortunately the one and only Yann Kermorgant won everything in the air against Morgan that night and gave him a torrid time.as for yesterday, I don't understand why the odd one or two refer to ZW as shitbread. Thought he was our best player yesterday - totally dominant in the air, look dangerous in the opposition box and set up Vardy with a difficult header for our late equaliser. He is limited on the deck, but I do like his commitment. Andy King anonymous again, hit the cross bar from 2 yards in injury time and is weak in the tackle. For me we need a really hard tackling midfielder so we can mix it in ugly games and a powerful centre forward (the likes of Kenwynne Jones or Sylvan Ebanks Blakes and by the way I'm not suggesting we will go for either)
Mack Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 This game does not warrant player ratings in my opinion but I'll say this... Knockaert is turning into a big headed show pony of a player that would rather lose the ball trying to go around 4 players than make the simple pass. If he cant or wont listen and learn he needs to be benched until he does.
