The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Thought it looked decent to be fair. W Same here. A fair bit went off around us. And the bit in the Kop to the left of the goal as you look at the stand looked very good
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Anyone got a video or know someone that does?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 oh and it showed we dont need jobber counting down thank fuk
FoxesAreBlue Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 When my ST was in the west stand corner next to the family enclosure (Prem season and a few season after that too) there was always a group who threw confetti (a cut up mercury) at the start of the game as the teams came out. Was quite good. I think that is the best time to do it IMO.
Finnegan Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Don't know how anyone can knock this really, it worked well enough. The chant lasted unfortunately for about thirty seconds but then everything did yesterday. No matter how much Jobber gave the drum a go even L1 couldn't seem to be bothered to stick to any one song for more than a few seconds. Perhaps everyone was just hanging from the night before, fair play town was heaving Friday. But otherwise not quite sure why yesterday was so mute. One City broke out in most of the stands in some form or another and it was reasonably loud in L1. Loudest thing the Kop sang all day anyway. Given it was a throw-away suggestion from one lad on an internet forum that probably about 3% of City fans actually read I don't think you can take too much of a shot at it. Fair play Cman.
C-man Posted 23 December 2012 Author Posted 23 December 2012 Nice to read so many positive comments and always a pleasure reading the thoughts of those who were 'embarrassed' by it. Having had a day to think about it, there were a few circumstances that went against us... i.e. time went off the screen at 19 mins, it coincided with the first time they put a ball in our box, the game was becoming a bit flat etc. But on the whole, I thought it went fairly well considering it was really just a stab in the dark. Certainly has encouraged me and hopefully others to think of some more ways to have a longer-lasting positive effect on the atmosphere, but has convinced me fan organisation is the only way forward.
K1FOX Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 but has convinced me fan organisation is the only way forward. This.
Tommeh Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Remember walking down after the game and being pleased with the amount of confetti littering the floor so people certainly did get involved, the chant sounded great I thought. Really glad we gave it a go and at the end of the day if we had as many people prepared to actually try something as we do who love to commentate on the atmosphere behind their screens we'd have incredible vocal backing.
Corky Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Thought the chant was great, most stands joined in.
davieG Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 We should all wear one of these for night game.
1964FOX Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Burton FA cup might be suitable for some of the blue and whitestuff I have left so watch out cringe haters.
Corky Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 I was right, what a shambles For those of you who lost your dignity at 19:09 then have a beer tonight and gather it back together. Try singing really loud next game instead of the unorganised malarkey that occurred today, regards And I bet you'll do bugger all to help with your unorganised stuff.
BoneDog Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 The chant around confetti time on the radio sounded real good. Loud and crystal clear.
AKCJ Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 5 quid says it doesn't happen. I'll be sending a cheque in the post for the Foxes Foundation for 5 quid. Fair play, saw a few handfulls of confetti go up.
Filbert_Ross Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 We should all wear one of these for night game. I think that would look well good, maybe better for a midweek away game.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 Well done to all, especially cman. Great first effort
C-man Posted 24 December 2012 Author Posted 24 December 2012 I'll be sending a cheque in the post for the Foxes Foundation for 5 quid. Fair play, saw a few handfulls of confetti go up. Well, I'm glad something good came of it!
C.J Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 I though L1 were abit quiet on Saturday, maybe they were abit intimidated by the Cardiff fans?
Maybes Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 I though L1 were abit quiet on Saturday, maybe they were abit intimidated by the Cardiff fans? Thought we were OK, up until that last 20 minutes when we were mute.
