After all their success a lot of them are still not satisfied and are calling for their Managers heads. Or how about Leeds, Brum and Blackburn? My point is that we all care about Leicester City and all want the best for our beloved club and I believe that we are in a very good place under the leadership of Nigel Pearson, however I respect and to a certain degree understand the concerns of those who do perhaps want to see a change in direction, even though i don't agree with it. Anyway, I hope that this becomes a thread of peace and love, MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU WONDERFUL FOXES :xmassmile:

kingfox Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 People who are having a moan, is the one's that don't go to matches, think sitting at home listening to it on the radio is enough to voice their opinions, and most likely secretly support one of Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool. Just ignore them I say, you don't have to comment on a thread which says is Pearson the right man for the job, Pearson needs to be sacked, it's your own choice to ignore it and I suggest most people who believe in Pearson should do it, instead of arguing with people for a stupid reason.

purpleronnie Posted 23 December 2012 Posted 23 December 2012 Its all quite odd, after I got back to from the US I noticed a definate change, there seems to be more and more fans who have zero interest in singing, so why would the clubs cater for or even want passionate fans? In the US and other european countries they have to cater for those passionate fans because they turn up week in week out and simply cant be replaced, football is so damn popular that stewards, police and clubs can treat fans how they like and they come back for more. It will never ever change, we will always have a worse atmosphere than other countries. Its just the way it is. Bit one of the biggest things I've noticed on my travels is our inability just to have fun at games, you can see evidence of it on these forums alone, fans talking tihe piss because some wanted to throw confetti, fans analysing every song to see if its cringeworhty or not, this cynical attitude just leads nowhere. There is a little hope, fans can change things, crystal palace, celtic, motherwell are examples where fans have united and organized things and despite oppression have gritted it out and now have created something special...it can be done but it takes time and a lot of dedication and I doubt many fans are willing to put that amount of effort it...unfortunately.

It was strange on Saturday, there was no booing at half-time (which surprised me). Booing at the end though.

Deucalion Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 I actually think we have pretty decent fans. There is some short termism, impatience and frustration but probably less so than other clubs. In Pearson's interview on Saturday he stated he thought the fans were pretty patient and I agree. Pearson has a bit more perspective than us due to having worked at other clubs. Here's a thing. For all the criticism of the KPS compared to Filbert Street, the discussions seem remarkably similar. At Filbert Street the West Stand was considered to be a morgue, not enough people sang, we were sometimes outsung by the away fans, our attendances were not big enough. So, we might not be perfect, but we aint all bad!

LCFC Todd Posted 24 December 2012 Posted 24 December 2012 I wish more could be done to create atmosphere at home but it's not the only problem. If we don't win, the result no matter the performance or hindrances such as red cards, injuries etc is regarded as rubbish. Arrogance is rife and the boo-boys expect us to win every game, they expect us to thrash every team and if we don't it's 'Pearson Out!' or 'Bring back Beckford'.. I remember when we were a Premier League side because i had my second season ticket for the first PL season in the Walkers, And even though i was only 8 i can't remember it being this bad, with booing and the like. What i am happy to see though is at the end of every game, win lose or draw, some fans (including myself) wait after the final whistle to clap the team. I've never booed the team and i never will, and when there's booing at HT and Full Time it disgusts me. It does nothing to raise the players' spirits, to give them support for the second half/next game, it's appalling. Lose the arrogance and some of the expectation, keep a level head and believe in the manager and the team and the situation will get better.
