For me it's a pleasure to see a worthy champion.

The "Aussie rat" has cojones made out of solid brass.  Seems totally immune to pressure with the putter in his hands.  And how can you not salute that tee shot on 17 when he already had a two shot lead.

Don’t get me wrong he’s a great golfer

It doesn’t stop him being Australian and looking like a rat though

The power of the mullet strikes again :appl:

Two wins this year. He’s turned himself into one of the best golfers in the World in the past few years.

Really good fun actually. £60 quid for 2 hours, but you can have up to 4 players.

We played Pebble Beach tonight, I shot 98! Considering I found the Pacific Ocean about 6 times, I'll take that lol

Simulators are really useful, not just for the visuals but also collecting data about shots.

You do suffer with the putting, but thats to be expected. its difficult to visualise the short game in a simulator when all you have is the screen in front of you.

I think you mentionned you fade the ball off the tee.....not really ideal for Pebble Beach with the Ocean all the way down the side of holes like 4, 6, 9, 10 etc etc :)

The simulator really didn't pick up much of the fade to be honest. It was still there, but only slightly. That course definitely isn't set up for me!

As you said, the stats are incredible. The most useful thing for me was seeing the angle of the club face at impact. Should definitely help me improve my game.

Definitely need to take a club up and very hard to judge.

Mastered the short game though on the back 9, even chipped in! Takes some getting used to.

Enjoying watching the Match Play. Even though it's only the first round of matches there's still plenty of drama.

There should be more Match Play tournaments on the tour IMO. The purest form of the game.

Ive had a nice couple of rounds this weekend, albeit the weather at times was dodgy.

Played the Brabazon Course at the Belfry friday on a promotion from the fitting centre with my dad and two good friends. Great experience. 2nd time id been there and played a nice matchplay match, won 5&4 which is always sweet and made great birdies on 3, 10 and 11, before the heavens opened and we all got soaked. Was still a great day out. Course looked very good for this time of year, especially the fringes. Got the British Masters there in May.

Went to Birstall today. Course wasnt in very good condition, quite muddy and greens were very bobbly, but still an enjoyable day. Id not been to Birstall before, its quite short and not very memorable, but very friendly. I shot +7 which off my handicap of 1 sounds terrible, but i feel like i played solidly and scored very badly. It was the kind of round where had it been summer and greens better, id have expected to shoot +1 or +2. But I missed 3 birdie putts from inside 10 feet and then had a further 4 three putts with the greens being bumpy and inconsistent, and my putting being rubbish :) But i can get that tidied up in the coming weeks and have a good summer.

If anything, id say if you hit a fade youre probably just struggling with the wind. If you fade the ball, youre creating more backspin and therefore, your ball will climb more into wind. Id not change much though, embrace the fade. It wont land you in as much trouble as a draw on your bad shots.

The Belfry is a great complex it's just a shame that they take liberties on the amount of groups they have out there on the 3 courses and it's often 5/5.5 hour rounds which is an absolute disgrace. Anything over 4/4.5 hour rounds and I'm done with the sport, I'll walk in and get on the San Miguel's. Life is way too short to be spending that much time even in a competition or even on a championship course, it's nuts.

I think the PGA still shades it for me though over Brabazon, take the obvious standout holes away and collectively the PGA is a better track than the Brabazon.

Talking of Birstall, the regional junior finals used to be held there which I always felt was an odd choice as it's not a very good course and it used to be chaos every year as they've a driving range that has a large residential home about 200 yards away with no netting up. Kids were just drilling driver after driver at it and people were going nuts.

I want Casey to win but I quite like this Bradley. His swings really weird though. Crouching down like he’s always in a green side bunker

Another reason Bradley is an arse (from yesterday)

I dont think a routine like that helps to be honest.

Putting is about FEEL. you could hit a putt 3 different ways at 3 different speeds and hole all 3.

But equally if the speed isnt matched to the line it wont go in.

Even if speed and line match it might STILL not go in....grass isnt perfect even on the best greens in the world.

Not that im trying to tell keegan bradley how to putt hes clearly in another dimension compared to us, but you cant do everything by robotics and numbers
