I dont think a routine like that helps to be honest.

Putting is about FEEL. you could hit a putt 3 different ways at 3 different speeds and hole all 3.

But equally if the speed isnt matched to the line it wont go in.

Even if speed and line match it might STILL not go in....grass isnt perfect even on the best greens in the world.

Not that im trying to tell keegan bradley how to putt hes clearly in another dimension compared to us, but you cant do everything by robotics and numbers

It's the whole evolution of Aimpoint isn't it. You're right putting is about feel but it's also about belief. Whatever the end goal is golfers are searching for, it's about having the courage to do so and there's many professional as well as amateur desperate to hang their hat on anything that might improve their nemesis that putting often can be.

Truth is, for some this crap might work as they believe in it and ultimately relax and let their technique and feel take over with freedom to make the stroke and that's often enough of the law of averages to get the ball close enough that some of them will drop.

I've tried AimPoint before very briefly and feeling the slope with your feet does help a lot. However, with a putt that distance (in the video) he doesn't need so many points of reference and it's just overkill. Which makes him look a cretin when he misses.

Yep

Played pretty well today bar two absolutely horrendous holes. A 9 on the 9th, and a 10 on the 12th 😩😩😩

The rest of my round was pretty much bogey’s and pars

9th hole I went for the green in the semi rough with my 3 Wood. Should’ve used my 5 wood instead, or just laid up with an iron. The ball ricocheted off some trees, and came to rest with a 120 yard shot in over some trees. Duffed it into a ditch, drop. Duffed my chip from my drop.

12th I topped my 3 wood tee shot to about 10 yards in front of me. My head had gone at this point, so went 3 wood out the rough again. Topped it again. I was by the ladies tee in 3 shots ffs.

Really angry at myself, not for the bad tee shot, but for messing around trying to hit a wood out of heavy rough for my second shot. Hit a 8 iron, get out, and come home with a relatively decent score after all. But no.

Another reason Bradley is an arse (from yesterday)

It's inside three feet mate.  Just commit to it and bang it in.

@Izzy Did he do the same routine with the next putt or did he just bang it in out of frustration? lol

Also just had a glance through Paige Spiranac's twitter feed and can see why you're following her tweets :D

I played Beedles Lake for the first time in ages yesterday. Still a nice course but it was just after green maintenance week, which wasn't ideal to say the least.

Reckon it will be any better this weekend or likely to be something that takes a while?

If the greens have been hollow tined theyll be covered in holes and have soil on them, takes a couple of weeks weather depending for them to be back to normal.

A pay and play for similar money would be Norwood Park in notts and can tell you their greens are really good for the time of year and money its £27.50 at the weekend and their greens are as good as private member clubs.

Beedles is a nice course i like that its a little more open off the tee. Keeps it enjoyable for everyone.

It can often take a couple of weeks or even more to recover to a smooth surface. There were still lots of spike marks and sand in them on Sunday. It was very slow and bobbly. Probably still gonna be a bit rough.

Longcliffe is looking outrageously good at the moment

Back to summer tees, greens are like lightening already too

I strongly recommend anyone who can to get a round in up there

Wow £55 a round is way over my threshold of £40 max.

He/She would be most welcome providing they can put up with a hacker of a host 😅

It might be a premium golf club but not all its members are

That’s right. You been?

Yes mate. We went on tour there about 5 years ago (the Welsh Rugby team stayed there at the same time!)

Great venue and two cracking courses. The Welsh National is a brute (the 2nd is a 600 yard par 5 IIRC) and the Lakes course has got water everywhere (funnily enough!)

It's a bit of a trek to get there but you'll love it
