AnotherShitSeason Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 OK, IF it turns out Wood is out for a few weeks I think it's pretty clear to most we should get a loan striker in. Who's your first choice on the wish list? Needs to be realistic & someone who would potentially come here. Go...
Happy Fox Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Conor Wickham is apparently available At Sheffield Wednesday on loan Jay Bothroyd is someone I would go for.
Libertine Dream Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Jay Bothroyd is someone I would go for. Ask Sheffield Wednesday fans about him and then come back and say he'd be a good option. Beckford mark 2
SemperEadem Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 At Sheffield Wednesday on loan Jay Bothroyd is someone I would go for. Bothroyd was getting slaughtered by the Wednesday fans I know.
RowlattsFox Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Nick Powell, not a natural striker but would work well behind nugent
Happy Fox Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Jay Bothroyd is a decent championship striker at Cardiff City he proved that and it would only be a temporary measure till Wood gets back to full fitness, I wouldn't read to much to his spell at Sheffield Wednesday they are hardly a team that is going to create chances no disrespect.
cjslcfc Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Peter Odemwingie Don't be ridiculous What if he didn't start every game? Seems like the type of player who again would disrupt the dressing room
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Nick Powell, not a natural striker but would work well behind nugent We wont play 4-2-3-1 and formations like that, plus if we do, we have knockaert for that
foxesfan1989 Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Pretty poor sign of our fans opinions of our strikers this thread. We have Vardy, Waghorn, Nugent, Schlupp and Futacs. Not saying I disagree, just shows the general lack of faith in our strike forces strength in depth.
Langston Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Saido Beharino providing he's fit. Looked useful for Posh earlier this season.
Happy Fox Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Jason Roberts he would be decent at this level can hold the ball up scores goals.
cjslcfc Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 I personally don't think we could get anyone in who is better than what we currently have as back up
sir_bob Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Saido Beharino providing he's fit. Looked useful for Posh earlier this season. We would certainly be keen to have him back once he's fit. Good player for us.
ousefox Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 I'd like to see Schlupp given a proper run upfront. Get him back from Utd and give him a few games. If we don't play him now, we never will.
cjslcfc Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Bobby Zamora I think Harry wants to use him a lot more
gazfox9 Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 I think Harry wants to use him a lot more probs right. if that's the case try for Jamie Mackie . they've just signed Remy too, sometimes play taarabt up top, he can't play them all!
cjslcfc Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 probs right. if that's the case try for Jamie Mackie . they've just signed Remy too, sometimes play taarabt up top, he can't play them all! He'll do his best. Plus not sure Mackie is a prolific scorer. Correct me if I'm wrong though
MGLCFC Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Peter Odemwinge - won't play again for WBA, will want to be in the shop window for a summer move and can't be loaned to the Premiership. Win, win for everyone, particularly if it is a short term emergency loan, such as a month.
rico Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Peter Odemwingie We're not far enough South, unless we tell him we're in London
AnotherShitSeason Posted 10 February 2013 Author Posted 10 February 2013 Pretty poor sign of our fans opinions of our strikers this thread. We have Vardy, Waghorn, Nugent, Schlupp and Futacs. Yup, I will hold my hand up & say I have a complete lack of faith in Waghorn & Vardy to bag a load of goals. That's my opinion based on what I've seen first hand. Schlupp & Futacs I haven't seen enough of. Nuge is a given obviously.
Babylon Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Anyone saying the prat from west from, have you not listened to what Pearson has said about getting rid of people like that the last year?
