Manwell Pablo Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 I don't rate our strikers but this is ridiculous.......He's not even going to be out for that long.
Ashley Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Jason Roberts he would be decent at this level can hold the ball up scores goals. Injured.
foxfanazer Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Andy Johnson? Not sure if he's starting at the moment?
AnotherShitSeason Posted 10 February 2013 Author Posted 10 February 2013 I don't rate our strikers but this is ridiculous.......He's not even going to be out for that long. How do you know?
Fox in the North Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Waghorn, give him games and he'll do well. He was doing fine until he had his appendix taken out and was improving every game before that Our strikers (strikeforce including midfielders) can't be that bad if we have the top goal difference. I know people will point to Wood and Nugent for the majority of those, but can anyone say in the build up to christmas that Waggy was playing that badly?
DB11 Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Pretty poor sign of our fans opinions of our strikers this thread. We have Vardy, Waghorn, Nugent, Schlupp and Futacs. Not saying I disagree, just shows the general lack of faith in our strike forces strength in depth. If you'd seen the chances Vardy & Waghorn miss then you'd have every reason to have a lack of faith in them.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 How do you know? Because it's been reported he could be back as soon as next week. Try reading, it's good for you.
Babylon Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 How do you know? The fact he just said he'd been bowling. Can't imagine him doing that with fractured knee, leg, ankle, broken foot, amputated limb.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 The fact he just said he'd been bowling. Can't imagine him doing that with fractured knee, leg, ankle, broken foot, amputated limb. Did you not watch the Paralympics Babs?
dbt_lcfc Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Harry Kane, im sure hes back at spurs after his loan with Norwich finished... and he was apparently high on pearsons wanted list before he signed for Norwich
cjslcfc Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 The fact he just said he'd been bowling. Can't imagine him doing that with fractured knee, leg, ankle, broken foot, amputated limb. This. He can't be that injured
AnotherShitSeason Posted 10 February 2013 Author Posted 10 February 2013 Because it's been reported he could be back as soon as next week. Try reading, it's good for you. Could be...flip side is he could maybe not be.

Anyway, I started this thread before then. Just looking for peoples opinion on options available to us IF we needed to go down that route..

The same strikeforce that did such a spiffing job against bottom of the league Peterborough yesterday? Hmm. Couldnt score in a brothel springs to mind.
Jaspa Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Just have a look through Man U's reserves and take a pick
Bert Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Can anyone say they'd want Odemwingie here, honestly?
Out Foxed Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Can anyone say they'd want Odemwingie here, honestly? yes
Larry_LCFC Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Odemwingie is another beckford. Bad attitude, arrogant and a disruption. Keep him away!
kingfox Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 Jason Roberts Saido Berahino Kenwyne Jones Harry Kane Only realistic four I think we could get, and may do a job. We need another winger though, as Marshall and Dyer are in and out of form too much, therefore Alexander Kacaniklic, Hal Robson-Kanu or Callum McManaman would be realistic targets, all three are on the bench now for their respective Premier League sides.
My Nads Posted 10 February 2013 Posted 10 February 2013 I'd play Nudge up front with King in behind as an AM in a 4-4-1-1.
Bettsj2 Posted 11 February 2013 Posted 11 February 2013 Simeon Jackson, absolutely. Wouldnt work at all well with Nugent. One of the main reasons Wood has been so effective is his physicality. If we do go into the loan market, we should be looking for something similar.
Jimmy Posted 11 February 2013 Posted 11 February 2013 Odemwingie is another beckford. Bad attitude, arrogant and a disruption. Keep him away! Bad attitude? He was just to honest about wanting to move
Guest MattP Posted 11 February 2013 Posted 11 February 2013 Can anyone say they'd want Odemwingie here, honestly? Great isn't it. A season of consistency after clearing out all the bad apples, one defeat and some people seems prepared to go right down that road again. Incredible. It's a couple of weeks, we can slag off the strikers if we want but defend peoperly on Saturday and we would have won 1-0.
