Just seems like a cheerful, humorous, positive bloke with a bit of personality, unlike most footballers - and most LCFC fans, it seems. Some understanding of why his form has nosedived in spring for the last 2 seasons would be worthwhile, though. That needs to be sorted out, assuming he stays for next season...which I hope he does; great player when on form, even if memories of his misguided dribble & hack in the 90th minute v. Birmingham remain too fresh in the mind for now (in his mind, too, I expect). Still, win together, lose together...

He did all the photos and signatures asked of him & also held a little boy up for a photo. Nuge was so called he was visibly shivering. I rate him as a person, and when he's been ****ing up of late he holds his hands up, he knows how the fans feel, and I think he's more in touch with that than some of the players.

It's one of the things I like about him players should enjoy playing for and being part of LCFC. One of the problems with 'modern' football is all the fun has been taken out of it. Fans can and are expected to have a laugh but any player having a bit of fun especially at a fans expense is immediately vilified by the same fans having a laugh at the players expense. Long may he keep smiling.

flowwolf Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 The bigger problem is Wood not Nugent. Since he came into the side it is all route one shit . Nugent plays a more intelligent game but is starved of service due to Pearsons lack of tactics. Play Nugent in the role he is best suited and he will get the goals. If Nugent is still with us at the start of the next season you just watch how the new manager plays him, I bet he will soon be back to his old form.
