_Fatboyslow_ Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 Anyone know if he's any good? He looked good on UTUBE must be Pearson last signing !!!
eddylcfc Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 Tough tackling midfielder, decent passing ability and can find the odd goal. Wouldn't expect him to feature but shrewd business from Pearson. Potentially the 'tough-tackling' midfielder many crave.
Webbo Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 Only till the end of the season, so is it an extended trial or might he actually get some game time?
phillo Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 Scored winner in reserves last month against brum if i recall
Raw Dykes Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 It will be interesting to see if he's ahead of Wellens in the pecking order.
ealingfox Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 Everything I've heard about him seems promising. I wouldn't be averse to giving him some minutes, bring him on 2nd half see what he can do.
VLC86 Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 I would imagine we won't see him feature this season but good business on a free with low wages even if we sold him on for a small fee later on
TheStig Posted 9 March 2013 Posted 9 March 2013 He looked good on UTUBE must be Pearson last signing !!! oooh again a positive and constructive comment - well done!
douggie123 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21746699 Whats peoples opinion?
indierich06 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Could turn out to be alright, could be another Harry Worley. Doubt we'll see him turn out for the first team this season, not while King, Drinky and James are still all fit anyway.
Vardinhio Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 what's the point, isn't going to have any bearing on our 1st team and if we do go up he certainly wont. Waste of money.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 oooh again a positive and constructive comment - well done! Satire mate
Sigporsson Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Apologies if this has already been posted... "Leicester have signed former Chelsea trainee Conor Clifford on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Clifford, released by the FA Cup holders in January, has been training with the Foxes' development squad and the midfielder scored the winning goal for Steve Beaglehole's Under-21 side in a 2-1 victory over Birmingham last month. Dublin-born Clifford, 21, is described by Leicester as a tough-tackling central midfield player with an eye for goal. He was called into Giovanni Trapattoni's Republic of Ireland squad for their World Cup Qualifier against Germany in October 2012, but the player has yet to make a senior appearance for his country. Clifford joined Chelsea in 2007, winning the FA Youth Cup with the Blues three years later. During his time at Stamford Bridge he gained Football League experience with loan spells at Plymouth Argyle, Notts County, Yeovil, Portsmouth and Crawley." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/8557301/Championship-Leicester-sign-former-Chelsea-midfielder-Conor-Clifford-on-short-term-deal
ian the fox Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 should be in the team at Cardiff imo , King & Drinky can do one for me
HoustonFox Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Sounds like he has done well in the U21s and will be interesting to see if he features in the first team at all or if he will stay in U21s and fight for a contract that way. He also looks like Jay spearing with hair....
Mister Pastry Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 He's 5ft 8" so about a foot taller than Spearing!
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Isn't this yet another up and coming young midfielder? How many more young players do we need? What's Nige doing? I sometimes wonder if he's building for next season in the Championship and anything else is a bonus?
