Kitchandro Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 'Yes, Peter Taylor really did manage Roberto Mancini'
Vacamion Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 The picture of Mancini in a City shirt in that article is just great.
Soar Fox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 What's the point in that article? Anyone who has followed or watched the premier league within the last 15 years wouldn't have forgot most of them or who they played for.

Anyone who has followed or watched the premier league within the last 15 years wouldn't have forgot most of them or who they played for. What's the point in anything? It's nostalgic. I'd personally maybe pick: Bernard Lama - West Ham Dino Baggio - Blackburn Pierluigi Casiraghi - Chelsea Vincenzo Montella - Fulham Christian Panucci - Chelsea Taribo West - Derby Gheorghe Popescu - Spurs I'm sure there are more if I gave it more thought.

Now those are ones I don't remember. Except Casiraghi because he did his knee there.
bovril Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Now those are ones I don't remember. Except Casiraghi because he did his knee there. Unfortunately I can't forget Montella after his two goals against us in the cup! Dino Baggio at Blackburn must have completely passed me by....
Danizen Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Pierre Van-Hoijjdonk at Forest. I know the spelling's awful. Can't be arsed looking it up.
Guest shearfox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 There are worse how about Veron at United and Chelsea just awful or Shevchenko... And who can forget about George Weah's cousin?
Soar Fox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Luc Nilis- Aston Villa Brian Laudrup- Chelsea Christophe Dugarry- Birmingham Ibrahim Ba- Bolton Hakan Sukur- Blackburn Henrik Larsson- Man Utd
Vacamion Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Pierre Van-Hoijjdonk at Forest. I know the spelling's awful. Can't be arsed looking it up. I know some Glaswegians who pronounce it "huge-donk".
bovril Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Marc Keller (world cup winner I think) at West Ham and Blackburn sprang to my mind. For a more up to date one - Nuno Gomez at Blackburn (always seems to be West Ham, Bolton or Blackburn)
Donut Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Giles de Bilde? Fernando Nelson? Patrick Mboma? Wim Jonk?
21st Century Fox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 I thought of Djorkaeff but I think he was at Bolton for a while so he sticks in the memory more than a few of the other fleeting appearances. I was also going to mention Alen Boksic but he was at Boro for quite a while too. Also Robert Prosinecki but I can't remember if he ever actually appeared for Pompey in the Prem.
Danizen Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Someone will know the answer to this, I'm sure. Which shitty Division 3 team did Faustino Asprilla sign for? Was it Darlington?
Alexikokopops Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Someone will know the answer to this, I'm sure. Which shitty Division 3 team did Faustino Asprilla sign for? Was it Darlington? From Wikipedia: During a time which was generally low-key, he appeared in the public eye again in 2002 amid reports he had been approached by English Division Three side Darlington. Darlington successfully appealed an initial work permit refusal and had offered around £17,000 per week plus 20% of gate receipts, a car and a rent-free flat. Chairman George Reynolds considered they were friends and in fact paraded Asprilla in front of 5,163 fans before Darlington's 2-0 win over Carlisle United on Tuesday 27 August, believing the intended 2-year contract was good as signed. However it was reported that following the player stalling on taking a medical on Thursday 29 August, in the early hours of Friday 30 August, Asprilla caught a flight from Newcastle Airport to the Middle East, to apparently take up a more lucrative offer. Reynolds described himself as "absolutely gutted" by the snub, complained Asprilla "did not even have the decency to say goodbye" and said he would never talk to him again.[13][14] This was the second time that Darlington was snubbed by a high profile ex-Newcastle player that summer – the other was Paul Gascoigne.
Danizen Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 17000 a week plus benefits!? No wonder they went bust!
Kitchandro Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 17000 a week plus benefits!? No wonder they went bust! Just what I was going to say. What a tw@t that Reynolds is.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Now those are ones I don't remember. Except Casiraghi because he did his knee there. how can you forget Montella after he put us out the cup!
