Bilbo Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 I don't know if anyone else has noticed a stream of fvcktards from other clubs come on this forum not to have a football related input but just because they are total muppets slagging us off etc etc, proof in my eyes that we have the same support as others no better no worse In fact if anything I think we have slightly better support than most but not as good as some others The difference is that their hate is directed towards other clubs and not their own.
seenitall Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Poor little Richie poo - poor little homophobic, angry, misguided, let down by his crappy manager Richie poo.......told you when he came back it was a mistake and never wavered from that apart from being pleasantly surprised (and that is the operative word) when he got us up the front end of the table and feeling my criticism of him (which I am sure he reads every day) might upset his little world, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt - but lo and behold he let us all down by returning to form and being just a bit average..... What a pity you can only respond to being wrong by stamping your feet and hurling abuse - are you 11 years old?
hackneyfox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 I have noticed that in the main it is the Pearson defenders who get personal and throw abuse at those who doubt Pearson. I do wonder if it's a generational thing, in the main those who doubt Pearson have followed the team for longer, for those who have followed the team for 10 years or so Pearson is the most successful manager they have seen.
wurmer Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 I'd put up with all the w@nker fans for £1m a year, its amazing how that amount of cash can 'thicken the skin'.
hackneyfox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 I'm still amazed that he hasn't been taking real abuse from the fans, I think, in the main, we've been very patient.
hackneyfox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Fans at almost any other club would have been on his back (at the games, on here doesn't count) 5 or 6 games ago, it's because we've binned off so many managers recently that he has got away with it.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 If you don't like it, don't read it. Stay off the forum. Or use the ignore button. There are a lot of intelligent, interest posts on this forum, and if you just start ignoring the mindless ******, you'll enjoy it a lot more. Oh and stop getting so wound up. Posts like this will have seenitall, DT etc smiling to themselves for at least the next week. I find both factions amusing, but I stated from the outset that he was not fit for this club, and it appears I am being proved right. I am just sorry for the club, that Pearson was allowed back. There are so many posters who were literally screaming that he would take us up this season, and their blind belief in this is what really makes me laugh. He could still do this, You never know. .
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 You can't criticise us, were still selling out away games. Fair play to the fans I reckon!
halferowley2 Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Our fans are just like any other football fans I would suspect. Incredibly fickle. That's just how it is. It's not the fans who have only won one in 11, it's the team and the manager. A football forum is about views, opinions, some worth reading, some not, some thought out, some not, some passionate, some daft, some inspiring. That's the raison d'être of a football forum. You don't like it? Then leave. IMO. I feel you just about got it spot on well said.
The Doctor Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 I'm shocked at how much I've been agreeing with kitchandro here - people need to stop being such utter cock-wands. Yes we've been shit for two months, I'm getting tired of it (although it's a bit late to be chopping and changing, might as well just see the season out then play around) but the hatred being aimed at pearson and the players? grow up chaps. Still - Haydos, just do your ignore list, mine now contains more people than Jordans past sexual partners and the place is so much nicer to be.

Never anything like this during the Levein years or anything like that, I don't know what's up with some of our 'fans'.

Never anything like this during the Levein years or anything like that, I don't know what's up with some of our 'fans'. I just don't get it - we were utter dirge under Levein, Kelly, Allen, Megson and I don't remember things being this bad. Hell, even Holloway and Sousa didn't get it this bad.

Don't you find ignoring people on here is a form of censorship and renders your opinion as about as valid as a Daily Mail readers is about the government?
leicesterseddon Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 It's just frustration. The longer we stay out of the PL, the worse it will get. The money we've spent hasn't helped either.
hackneyfox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Spot on, the majority of fans are used to us yoyoing between the top 2 divisions.

The Doctor Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Doubt he can read your comment to him. You were probably first on the list. - Bastard, I was having fun not seeing his numb-nuts opinions. He is on my list, along with about 168 others. I've invented a nice little clique on my own foxestalk, where all the morons are hidden away in a box. Bliss.

flowwolf Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Again, I think you're missing the point a bit here. This thread is not aimed at those fans in that situation. I can understand why people would lose their temper with the side as it's currently playing, and would have a go at certain players for not putting the effort in and not being professional. There is a point to this thread ? so what point are you making
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 The difference is that their hate is directed towards other clubs and not their own. And you don't think they have a go at their own occasionally?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Love this thread....Keep it up Boys...most amusing!! P.S I'll have my tuppence....we have plenty of w@nker fans...we also have plenty of decent hardworking fans who for some absurd reason follow the team home and away come what may. We are no different to ANY other supporters...fickle. Agreed there Raj

What a pity you can only respond to being wrong by stamping your feet and hurling abuse - are you 11 years old? Ahhh everything I expected and more. Always enjoy your impassioned posts, Indie, and more often than not find myself nodding in agreement with most of your sentiments. Not sure I can agree with calling our owners 'clueless', though. With hindsight SGE was an expensive mistake, but, as a strategy it was worth trying. 95% of us thought it was an exhilarating time to be a City supporter. Hindsight shows the folly of that to some degree but then we all know about hindsight. I personally believe that, as modern owners go, we could have done an awful lot worse than we have and maybe not much better. Until 2 months ago, they looked on course to realise the dream. There's nothing wrong with them being driven - be it by success or the financial return it affords. They're mostly generated by hangover-fuelled rage. Maybe I was being a bit harsh on the owners - SGE was a massive coup and in his first season I genuinely believed that we'd achieve big things under him, but his madcap transfer window where he seemingly just signed any player he could without really building a team, well that's what got him sacked in the end. We'll be paying for that summer of excess for years now, but I can understand the owners wanting to throw a load of money at it for one big shot at the big time. But the problem with flying too close to the sun is that there's a long way to fall if you get burnt.
