Ric Flair Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 What's the word then? We need a FoxesTalk sweep for a start. My early fancies are Chicago Grey, Teaforthree and Poker de Sivola George Eliott's horses are in great form and the weight Chicago Grey will carry is only about 10 stone 9 which is well in. I've got it at 16's last week, but it's in to 12's now.
goose2010 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Quite like the look of Rainbow hunter to be honest. Not going to go mad on the national as its basically a lottery. Will pick 3 i think 1, 8/1 ish 1, 16/1 ish and one absolutely nag about 150/1. Fridays race card is exciting some cracking racing. First time in a long time Leicester aren't at home on the day of the national.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I've backed the winner the last three years (fluke more than anything). I think I agree with you on Chicago grey and teaforthree, maybe seabass and sunnyhillboy as well because of how they did last year.
Ric Flair Posted 3 April 2013 Author Posted 3 April 2013 Cappa Bleu if we're having a sweep That's not how a sweep works pal. It's drawn out of a hat
Simmo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 That's not how a sweep works pal. It's drawn out of a hat Yeah I know, but with the lack of a hat on the internet I thought people might just choose the horse they want
purpleronnie Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 There is a sweepstake if you're interested:- http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/87278-grand-national-sweepstakes/

goose2010 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 What, you mean a whole year? didnt we play at home last year?? sure i remember the results coming on the score board?!
Simmo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 didnt we play at home last year?? sure i remember the results coming on the score board?! Millwall away
Simo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 didnt we play at home last year?? sure i remember the results coming on the score board?! Nope, I can remember watching this at my girlfriends, so we definitely weren't at home
goose2010 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 to be honest all the season are rolling into one for me these days! See i went to millwall last season so must of just got mixed up!
Simmo86 Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 to be honest all the season are rolling into one for me these days! See i went to millwall last season so must of just got mixed up! They did announce it over the tannoy at Millwall TBF
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I'll go for the scattergun approach - did it last year (£1 e/w on about 8 horses), was about £10 in profit after 2 came in. IIRC the two with the best odds I'd bet on both fell quite late on, and I ended up eating them inadvertently
Kitchandro Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I'm interested to see what the coverage will be like. I thought it was a bit of a shambles at Cheltenham.
Bert Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Channel 4's racing coverage is normally top class. Even with the breaks. Looking forward to The first two days of the festival which I'll be able to watch.
Tom17LCFC Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Colbert Station for me. May have a small bit on sunnyhillboy as well.
ScouseFox Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I'm in work all 3 afternoons of it It was this off or Chelts off and I chose Chelts and lost fúcking loads of money haha.
StanSP Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I hope I get SunnyHillBoy in this sweep. My name is Sunil, and I used to be called Sunny when I was younger or SunHill (yes, people did associate my name with The Bill police station!). Came so close last year, so I hope he does better this year!!
Ric Flair Posted 5 April 2013 Author Posted 5 April 2013 Chicago Grey and Teaforthree both £10 e/w Poker de Sivola has been declared a non-runner so i'm going £5 e/w on Imperial Commander I've got Soll and Join Together in the sweep at work, top prize £100 so i'm happy with those picks
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Seabass for me. Odds of 10/1 at betfred yesterday which was pretty decent considering the potential starting price
StanSP Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 I got Across The Bay in the work sweepstake. Do I have any chance of winning anything (prizes for 1, 2, 3).
