Mark_w Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Seems hypocritical to celebrate someones death, i honestly couldn't celebrate anyones death even if it were someone i'd wanted to kill. Unless it were a funeral of course. How is it hypocritical?
Webbo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 She showed no remorse in destroying the lives of thousands, why should people show any remorse for her? You weren't even born
Guest Bilo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 You weren't even born What are your views on Adolf Hitler?
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 You weren't even born No, but there's this magic thing called knowing people who lived through her time as PM, in some of the worst hit areas.
ousefox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 You weren't even born Such a non-argument. Do you have no opinions on history? Can you not comment on the likes of Hitler and Stalin?
Zingari Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Seems hypocritical to celebrate someones death, i honestly couldn't celebrate anyones death even if it were someone i'd wanted to kill. Unless it were a funeral of course. you might need to run this by me again
Webbo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 No, but there's this magic thing called knowing people who lived through her time as PM, in some of the worst hit areas. I lived through her time as PM. Take it from me. She was great.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 She inspired a few songs... http://youtu.be/JZj5cY18yFk
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I lived through her time as PM. Take it from me. She was great. Hmmm, that's not what everyone else I've met up here says. The general opinion seems to be she was a heartless bitch who should have stuck to inventing ice cream rather than ruining the country.

Bugg Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Seems hypocritical to celebrate someones death, i honestly couldn't celebrate anyones death even if it were someone i'd wanted to kill. Unless it were a funeral of course. It's not hypocritical, it is a bit weird to go out on the lash to celebrate someone being dead though.
Webbo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Does anyone remember Bugger all money his Geordie version? I thought that was far funnier than Loadsamoney.
Zingari Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Where did you find that photo of Webbo Zin? i just googled "typical 80's Thatcherite" and up he popped
Deucalion Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 It's not hypocritical, it is a bit weird to go out on the lash to celebrate someone being dead though. People often celebrate the deaths of oppressors.
Webbo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 People often celebrate the deaths of oppressors. Not many oppressors win 3 elections.
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 She won 3 elections, couldn't have been that unpopular. And the average turn-out during those elections? From what I can gather it shrunk rapidly, she alienated large swathes of the population.
Deucalion Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Not many oppressors win 3 elections. Hitler won one...what's your point?
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 You sad, sad man. An old lady who used to have a fierce intellect has passed away after a horrible decline from Dementia... Who started a war to stay in power to test a economic Theory to lay waste to some areas to allow others the lose their chains and destroy a mutual financial system which resulted in the mess we are now in. Nice old lady ? Ficking Witch if you ask me
Webbo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 i just googled "typical 80's Thatcherite" and up he popped Couldn't you find that one of me burning down an orphanage? Hitler won one...what's your point? He didn't actually.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Not many oppressors win 3 elections. They don't have to, that's why they oppress people. Get with the programme!
yorkie1999 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Not many oppressors win 3 elections. They do when you looked at the alternatives..
