Curse of the white shorts

Recommended Posts

Was an idea originally brought in by Brian Little as he felt the players were easier to pick out in solid colours, personally I think we should give it a try next season I think it looks better anyway

Can we have white socks? They are Leicester Citys real colours. BLUE Shirt, Blue Shorts, WHITE Socks.

'No we will look like Chelsea'

OH RIGHT.

Eh? We've never worn that combination.

Done in the 60s I think, but revived by him. Personally like the idea of all blue in the second tier, white shorts in the top flight. Seemed to be the way things were done when I was growing up.

1928-29 2nd in the first division (ie, the Premiership) white shorts

Division 2 champions 1925, 37, 54, 57, 71, 80 white shorts

FA Cup Final 1949, 61 and 63 white shorts

League Cup Winners 1964, 97 and 2000 white shorts

Charity Shield Winners 1971 white shorts

Suuuuuuuuuuuure, blue shorts is the way forward? The colour we wear to just scrape through in the last chance saloon.

EDIT: and as HathernFox said, we got relegated in blue shorts.

This. We have a traditional colour. Blue shirts, white shorts, blue socks. Only shit teams keep mucking about with their home kit. The big guns have all kept their classic colours - man utd, Liverpool, arse, chelski - so should we. The all blue brigade are closet Chelsea fans!

60s, 70s and 80s we almost always had white socks. Blue shorts rarely used.

This thread is quite clearly tongue in cheek.

Although, recent records suggest, we only get promoted in all-blue.
