Thought I'd whack the odds up for a bit of interest, anyone see a price they like?

To make World Cup Squad

Gerrard 1/25

Wilshire 1/8

Milner 1/6

Townsend 1/5

Lampard 1/4

Carrick 1/4

Barkely 8/15

Cleverly 8/11

Lallana 11/10

Henderson 11/8

Lennon 7/4

Sterling 2/1

Oxlade 5/2

Young 3/1

Barry 5/1

Morrison 8/1

Huddlestone 8/1

Downing 16/1

Rodwell 16/1

Shelvet 16/1

Ox at 5/2. If he's fit, he will be on the plane. Hodgson rates him very highly.

Mourinho plays anti-football in the big games away from home then has the audacity to say West Ham's performance today 'wasn't Premier League football' and in fact 'football from the 19th Century!'

He entertains me sometimes but he doesn't half piss me off at other times!

Yet earlier in the season he went to Old Trafford without a recognized striker.

He gets on my nerves and doesn't credit any other team.

Barry at 5/1 is the best value on there IMO. He's had a fantastic season at Everton.

Yet you never mentioned him in your list of midfielders? lol

CLUELESS.

---

Anyway not a bad night of results for Liverpool, Chelsea dropped two points and Spurs dropped 3.

Game v West Brom is massive for us on Sunday, hopefully Villa can continue tonights win into the weekend v Everton. Stoke could get something v United at home as well.

I absolutely love the way Man City play football under Pellegrini, as Liverpool aren't going to win the League (I type with a sad face) then I am so glad its Man City, been so good to watch.

Posted

If we're up against teams with a defence like Villa and West Brom's then we'll make mugs of a few people if we go up. Absolutely comical.

No, but then again, i'm not Hodgson am I? You ****ing idiot. lol

I wouldn't take him, but I can see why Hodgson might. 5/1 seems a good price. Although I wouldn't expect a clown like you to understand

So he's had a fantastic season, in your own words but you wouldn't take him? That pretty much sums you up, you say someone is fantastic but you wouldn't take them to represent your country in a major tournament.. Thank **** you're not Roy Hodgson otherwise we would be an even bigger failure.

Oh and "leave the childish insults to the children", just repeating your own wise words.

You're relentless, I'll give you that.

I wouldn't take him because I think Gerrard, Huddlestone and Barkley play his role better. Again, I don't expect you to understand.

I said he's having a fantastic season but he's not even Everton's best English midfielder.

I too thank **** that I'm not Roy Hodgson, he had to spend a season in Liverpool.

Ah, you know the old adage of "argue with an idiot and they'll bring you down to his level".

But keep calling me clueless because obviously you know better lol lol

Posted

You are clueless if you think Barkley plays the same role in midfield as Gareth Barry. lol

Go to bed.

Barkley has shone in a more advanced role yes. But Barkley holds the ball better and can play that defensive anchor just as well as any we've got.

But go on, keep finding arguments lol lol

Sorry, Barkley has never played that defensive anchor role. You're talking out your arse mate.

Must troll harder lad.

How is that trolling?

I'm trying to discuss football on a football forum, and you reply with that. I think we know who's really trolling.

I honestly don't know why you validate some people with a response.

As was I.

My point was pretty clear, most people seemed to have grasped what I was alluding to.

Haha!

Ross Barkley has never played that role for Everton, never. How can anyone respect your opinion on football now after that ridiculous comment? You clearly don't watch games if that is your view on Barkley. Quite embarrassing really.

The argument is over now, don't bother replying, you've made yourself look silly enough now.

Ross Barkley, playing the anchor role.. lol

His hypocrisy is an absolute embarrassment recently yet he gets away with it because he's Mourinho.

Agree although our defence would take a few beatings in the Premier League.

I still don't think we'd need even close to an overhaul to stay up should we get there. 4/5 intelligent additions would see us through and I'm serious.

I would love to see City put 4 or 5 past them.

Any news on Aguero?

Hopefully he's fine, he's the star of my dream team!

Finally put Suarez in (if he breaks his leg or goes off form this weekend then, sorry, Loft, my bad) to go with Aguero and Negredo.

Need them all fit for the final stretch!!

Andy merely stated that Barkley "can play" that role - if needed. He didn't say that Barkley actually does play in that role for Everton right now.

I don't see what's there to slag off other than you just being your repetitious self, belittling other posters with the regular use of "ridiculous", "don't bother replying" and "argument over" when in fact, they do have a point. lol

Ha don't worry mate, Suarez is quite good on the injury front, just the moment of madness that might cost you.

How can you say he 'can play' that role when he has never played there for Everton? That is just ridiculous and makes you look an absolute fool. Don't try and justify what he said.

What are you even doing getting involved? You really are obsessed, worrying really.

So this "argument" (which has really just been a succession of you picking up on one point of my posts and writing things like "embarrassing" despite the fact you think Henderson is one of our best midfielders) is over because Barkley hasn't played in the "2" for Everton under Martinez? lol He's a box to box player, he can play a defensive role, you've obviously not watched him if you don't think that?

Besides, and this is my fault I should have reworded it differently, it's not that I think he should start iin that position, but he can cover it should we get injuries which is the whole point of having a squad like that for the World Cup. We need players who can play in different positions.

Sick of this now, you're turning out to be a right **** when I thought you were one of the decent outsiders.

Used to love Mourinho in his first spell here, especially how he managed the media. We finally had another manager like that.

But he just annoys me at times now. Couldn't hear everything he said on MOTD yesterday, but it was something along the lines of West Ham came for a point. So what, what does he expect, every team to attack? Yet when he went to Old Trafford earlier in the season he played without a recognized striker... When they lost to Everton earlier in the season he claimed they were lucky, before calling West Brom boring.

Much prefer City to win the league over Chelsea.
