foxfanazer Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Where are James and Drinkwater on that list? Disgraceful!
Guest MattP Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Where are James and Drinkwater on that list? Disgraceful! Assume they are that certain to be on the plane the bookmakers didn't even bother to price them up.
foxfanazer Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Think Chelsea will be top by the end of the night. 3 or 4 nil against Wham and Man City and Spurs that draw 2-2
AKCJ Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Rooney signs new United contract - 5 year deal on 300 grans a week.
Guest ttfn Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Thought I'd whack the odds up for a bit of interest, anyone see a price they like? To make World Cup Squad Gerrard 1/25 Wilshire 1/8 Milner 1/6 Townsend 1/5 Lampard 1/4 Carrick 1/4 Barkely 8/15 Cleverly 8/11 Lallana 11/10 Henderson 11/8 Lennon 7/4 Sterling 2/1 Oxlade 5/2 Young 3/1 Barry 5/1 Morrison 8/1 Huddlestone 8/1 Downing 16/1 Rodwell 16/1 Shelvet 16/1 Henderson at 11/8 is great value considering he made the squad for the Euros and has had a good season for Liverpool. Anybody betting on Gerrard at 1/25 needs their head looking at. Given his age and his recent history with injuries, there's got to be at least a 1 in 10 chance of him missing out through injury.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Quite an exciting night tonight certainly a few big games!

Barry at 5/1 is the best value on there IMO. He's had a fantastic season at Everton.
Jimothy Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Joining the party a but late here but I can't believe some of the stuff on here, especially from Bobby Hundreds. Yes people can argue that we currently have better midfielders than Henderson, that's opinion and I suppose most won't ever agree, but to bemoan the fact he's poor in comparison to other countries is ludicrous. We know where we are as a team, we've known for a long while. We're not going to suddenly produce a Xavi so I don't know why people are worrying about the fact we don't have a player like him. It doesn't matter where Henderson would come in the pecking order for Spain or Brazil or Germany, if he's one of our 4 or 5 best midfielders when the squad is announced he deserves to be in the plane. We can only call up the best we have, it's no good looking enviously on at other countries because they have better.
Bayfox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Aguero 1-0. Villa 1-2 down. come on spurs score and thats my 1st bet of the night in the bag.
Stadt Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I think even if we did produce a Xavi he wouldn't start for the national side because he'd be seen 'not doing enough'.
Kitchandro Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Man marking/getting in the way of a 33 (at the time I think) year old who has just played 90 minutes, isn't really a tough job to do is it? stick a bell on Pirlo's legs and a blind guy could do it. People are saying and agreeing that Henderson is having a good season, but that's not enough is it? You seem to be expecting people to say he is world class and the best midfielder we have ever produced. It's just not going to happen...why? Because its not true. Whereas he may be playing well this season, and starting to look more like the player he is capable of being, the point still is, is that if he is supposed to be our best central midfielder, as you suggest, then the England setup and acadamys are failing somewhere along the line. He isn't the saviour, he isn't world class, he won't be world class, and as a nation, we should be capable of producing FAR better central midfielders. Well said. Besides, there are still several better centre mids than him.
Guest MattP Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I think even if we did produce a Xavi he wouldn't start for the national side because he'd be seen 'not doing enough'. He wouldn't even get that far. Would have been released by his club aged 15 for being "too small" whilst they try and develop a couple of 6ft lugs who have "power and pace". Seen it all before.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Also Chelsea have had 17 shots at goal compared to West Ham's 1, possession 71% in chelsea favour and it's 0-0!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 30 shots to 1 and 70% possession ... No goal for Chelsea still, West Ham to nick it in the last minute hehe
Leicesterpool Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 What an evening, Villa win 4-3!, Chelsea have 34 shots at goal and still didn't score a goal, Man City go back top, Stoke & West Brom put in more danger!.
Corky Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Hope Man City go on and win it, Mourinho's anti football in away games and Chelsea's general vileness is enough to want someone else to take the title.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Hope Man City go on and win it, Mourinho's anti football in away games and Chelsea's general vileness is enough to want someone else to take the title. Just compare the amount of goals they scored under Benitez to Mourhino (this season).
StanSP Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Mourinho plays anti-football in the big games away from home then has the audacity to say West Ham's performance today 'wasn't Premier League football' and in fact 'football from the 19th Century!' He entertains me sometimes but he doesn't half piss me off at other times!

StanSP Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 He'll park two coaches in front of the goal at Man City on Monday. And then to cap it off, play Torres up front!
