There's a chance we would have paid him a lump sum in lieu of lost wages

Based on absolutely no facts what so ever, I can categorically state I have no fvcking idea, if anyone does actually know something can you please post a link or a source or some sort of evidence, idle speculation doesn't help anyone.

I think we paid off his loss of earning as a lump sum settlement when he left the club.

This is why the transfer seemed done and then hit a snag, the snag was Mills decided he wanted compensating for not earning what he would've been if he had stayed at Leicester.

I personally feel the club should've been compensated for him being shit and disinterested, but there you go.

Why are we wasting our time posting about that twat?

Matt Mills is like a really bad odour that won't go away no matter what.

Wouldn't have been any point with FFP looming over us to agree to pay part of his wages throughout his Bolton contract would make far more sense to make a settlement towards ending his contract with us. This is football though and finance often doesn't make much sense especially with Leicester

Nothing " idle " about this one , lets see how many pages it runs too . :D  :D

Almost worth going into admin again just to screw him over

Not his fault at the end of the day. He was given a ridiculous contract so he's totally in his rights to get paid what he was owed....any of us would do the same.

Might as well clear it up whilst I'm at it (just watched the Knocky pen so im in a bad mood!!) There was an incident between him and Pearson after the Watford game. Mills was blamed for the goals...Pearson put it on him and Mills was the one that put the nut on Nige not the other way round!! Taking into account his playboy attitude, wages and the fact that majority of the squad disliked him Pearson had no other choice but to get rid....true story

I personally don't believe it. Surely there is a rule that would prohibit that and for him to sign for Bolton he would have to be off our books.

How do you claim to know these things too unless you're his agent/work for his agency?

Either that or you're on the tills at Morrisons/fan store.

Like I say mate u don't have to believe me but its the truth. He signed a 4 yr deal with us so part of the agreement of when he signed for Bolton was that the remaining yrs on his contract with us would be paid up as a contribution to his Bolton wages which was spread over the remaining yrs. joke situation to be honest but I imagine the same sort of thing will happen with Beckford and co. none of them are gonna leave for less money (why would they) so as a compromise we pay a % of the wages

You didn't answer the question. If it's true; how do you know?
