Wouldn't read too much into this. Stoke City have just cleared out a load of their backroom staff after Pulis was sacked and they have appointed Hughes as manager. As someone on their forum has suggested he is just moving onto a better more well paid job?

They also state he is old and past it? Read into that what you want.

Why does someone have to lose their job?

 

People have been whining about the people at the top not being football people, perhaps, just perhaps, they have realised that they do actually need football people around them day to day. Especially when we have a huge job on our hands financially this year.

 

No-one really expects anyone to, just a few people getting excited and desperate.
