Webbo i like you man. One of the forums Guardian Angels, if you remember them?

The work you do & the post count to have amassed can NEVER be underestimated or taken back.

A true gent & (I suspect) a born leader.

I see you as the forum equivalent of Rob Kelly.

 That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.

Hang on, that's being overly positive... you can't say that.  No comment on my replies huh.

depends, i didn't say  we would finish 7th, could escape on goal  difference on the last day . glass half full etc.

and it still depends on in's and outs over the summer, i reserve the right to  change my mind.

**** that.... being a football fan should make you wildly optimistic, not pessimistic. People should be believing in 3 years leicester will win the champions league...... and not turning into a bankrupt league 1 team like coventry.

Just been down the bookies and I see we have drifted out to 3rd favourites at 10/1. It's better but no where near a true reflection or prediction.

I think we should much further down the list of betting, we should be 5, 6, 7, maybe even 8th in the betting and it's take odds of atleast 20 - 25/1 to even tempt me to have a bet on it and I'm not sure I'd even have a bet then.

I realise the odds don't necessarily give a true reflection or prediction of what will happen, it's simply based on where punters are putting there money, but my point still stands we should not be seen as 3rd favourites and 10/1 to me offers no value whatsoever.

However neither does a measley 40/1 for the drop, we should be being marked up with much better odds atleast 50's or 60's I reckon.

I'm not sure you can do group betting on leagues I don't believe you can, I bet a fair bit and I've never seen the market before but if you can group bet I reckon 5, 6, 7 or 8th is where my money would be.

On a manager who hasn't finished a full season outside the top six let alone top half?

Wouldn't take 400's.

why the fook not? cheeky fiver on odds at 400/1, what have you got to lose?

Nige has shown he isnt above relegation fodder, note second half of last season.

But what about the 1st half of the season? What about the last 3 games?!

For the record I am a Pearson fan, I want him to stay, I want him to have atleast this season (Well let's see where we are at Christmas anyway - I realise it'd be hard to turn around if we are in the shit at that point though)

But the second half of the season cannot be ignored, it was relegation form, in another league, in another season we would not have made the playoffs, we would have been nearer the bottom of the league i.e - lower midtable than we would the playoffs/top of the league - Many like to ignore it though and come out with just 2 of the examples I have put above.

I'm not ignoring the 1st half of the season, we did very well, it was very impressive however, we need to address the 2nd half of the season, we can't ignore it which is why i'm focusing on it more, yes we did well 1st half of the season but all that hard work counts for nothing when we go from being so good to so poor, address the issues.

My finger is firmly pointed at the players though, not Pearson.

Five pounds, clearly. He's also never finished lower than 11th in a full Championship season, and Southampton he saved from relegation in his 3 months, as we all remember.

To say he isn't capable of taking us up automatically is debatable, to say he isn't capable of getting us in the play-offs is misguided, but to say he isn't capable of keeping us up in this division is just full-on blinkered nonsense.

Our form since January showed that we can go down. Plus if Morgan/Kasper then we are fvcked

No, it doesn't. Form is temporary, you get relegated for your results over the entire season, not for your form since January. Again, you need to review your definition of 'fvcked'. If we were to lose Morgan and Kasper (we'd buy another CB and GK, we wouldn't play with 9 men in case you didn't know), we'd stand less chance of finishing in the top 6, yes, but it wouldn't make us 15 places worse.

Is this meant to be making any kind of point? Because it certainly doesn't look like it. More gibberish.

So we have three months of poor form and it means we could get relegated, yet have six months of promotion form but we'll be nowhere near promotion.

How does that work?

It don't work, it's bollox as we both know.

No-one knows how we are going to perform at the start of next season. For all we know, we may start poorly and then get much better... A reverse of last season if you like.

We just have to wait and see.
