Dan Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 Just lost 4-3 at Frankfurt defence is an absolute shambles. I'm dominating games but not winning them. Think I'm gonna keep my tactics similar to how they are but a little less risky.

Haydos Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 Managing to hang on in mid table but only scored 18 in 16 games and the lack of a solid Prem class striker is telling. Not really got anything to spend in January either. Also Bony is tearing it up for Swansea, what the hell?

Yes, I've found this but I do set my sides up to score more than you. 3-2, 4-3 etc. Just played Yeovil in my previous game, I was 1-0 down, went 3-1 up then 3-3. Won 4-3 in the last minute thanks to Andy King.

Yep, see my earlier posts where I was delighted to get clean sheets . 2 of the matches after changing my formation I got clean sheets vs Tranmere and Swindon! Got similar to Ashley, though - always try and score more than the other team. Although what I've found frustrating in both 13 and 14 is the 'overload' strategy. I'd be 1-0 or 2-0 down and the other team would go to their 'normal style of play'. I'd go to overload and then literally nothing would happen. The clock would just tick over to full-time. What's the point in that overload strategy when NOTHING ever comes of it?
Dan Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 I've thought that for years. My Dortmund side is slowly clicking although I've just had to sell Lewandowski. I've hit the winter break and surprise surprise he starts banging them in for fun as soon as the potential of a new contract comes up. Can anyone who knows the ins and outs of this game tell me if there's actually something programmed into the game that makes players start playing far better as soon as their contracts are coming to the end? Anyhow, he wanted a wage completely out of my price range and I've sold him to Arsenal for £20mil. Got £28mil to play with and need a new striker. Looking at one of Benteke, Lukaku, Kiessling, Yilmaz, Rossi or some complete gamble from South America, they often produce some wonderkid strikers. EDIT; Oo er. May have found my man in Haris Seferovic.
