The Horse's Mouth Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 If this is true then Serge Pizzorno at least deserves a place on the bench for Leicester I don't want that plastic cnut anywhere near our bench
Danno Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Dread to think what the #AMF ****** are planning. They are with da lads wearing their casual clobber like proper AMF!!!11!!! lads. It's to raise money for Louis' charity and raise awareness for it, plus its a charity based in Doncaster and Louis is a fan. Don't see how it's making a mockery of football, he will play one development squad match and then will leave the club.

A bit brain dead aren't you?
Soar Fox Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Doncaster should appoint Gary Glitter as head scout. Bet he could unearth a few young talented kids in Far East Asia.
Fox92 Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Can't see how it's ruining football, he'll not even play a game. It is a stunt, and it's probably worked - we've got a thread on it and people who haven't heard of Doncaster Rovers, probably have now. Plus it will raise a bit of money for the club. Can't see the difference between this and signing a University student, which many clubs do.
Mike Oxlong Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 And in the latest news Doncaster Rovers have made a further signing ahead of the new season with yet another world renowned high profile celebrity joining the squad .....
brockmyster Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 I'm sure some people on here forget that football clubs are actually businesses as well and that they do need to generate turnover. All it means now is a few teenage girls will now 'support' Doncaster gain them a bit in merchandise sales etc, which is better then a hike up in ticket prices which affects the real fans.
Fox92 Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 I'm sure some people on here forget that football clubs are actually businesses as well and that they do need to generate turnover Agreed. Said this before, many times. All working together to achieve that one purpose, like every business. (Yes, one of my units last year was business )
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 My first thought was it would be a way of getting round FFP, imagine the shirt sales, I can see it now, name change, One Direction become One Doncaster, 1D.
Danno Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Why do you think people who wear casual clobber talk like that? A bit brain dead aren't you?Haha are you a casual then? Tragic.
kylestyle06 Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Haha are you a casual then? Tragic. Tragic. I know quite a few people who dress quite casual, and not one of them speaks how you imagine these people to talk I think you've made it up
Dan Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 How is that 'tragic'? Think the idiot here is the one making the assumptions that if you dress a certain way then you must be thick.
kylestyle06 Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 How is that 'tragic'? Think the idiot here is the one making the assumptions that if you dress a certain way then you must be thick. He just made it up, he hasn't a clue
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Anything that aids charities / causes should be commended, and the guy's going to make a decent wedge for his local side. Anyone saying "RIP football" is either guilty of spouting hyperbole or perennially cynical.
The God Emperor Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 And in the latest news Doncaster Rovers have made a further signing ahead of the new season with yet another world renowned high profile celebrity joining the squad ..... they've done well there signing Louis Theroux
bluesbrothers Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Shall I be the first to pre-empt "One Direction" jokes should Rovers be mired in a relegation scrap come the end of the season.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Shall I be the first to pre-empt "One Direction" jokes should Rovers be mired in a relegation scrap come the end of the season. The Sun probably have the headlines written already.
Leeds Fox Posted 2 August 2013 Posted 2 August 2013 Insulting in the highest order to the opposition bringing him on in a competitive game!
Aus Fox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Should provide so competition for Richie Wellens in Midfield.
C-man Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Dread to think what the #AMF ****** are planning. Come on mate '******' is a bit far. I get that some people, particularly a lot of those using #AMF at every turn, are bandwagoners who haven't really got a clue about anything, but to cast off AMF as a whole is wrong. At the end of the day these are people who are looking out for cheaper tickets, fan owned clubs, more money in grassroots, fan organisation and a bit of atmosphere back into our ailing stadiums. If any of that is mongish then fvck it mate I must be a disabled
