Derby away

Recommended Posts

I mus say out support was fantastic today as usual!!! We need to try be like that at home because we get drowned out by a huge away following like leeds an sheff weds. Yes i know its easier said than done. Also is it just me or does L block and other people standing get smaller every year

What happened?

Well it went over the top, a frame got smashed, someone pushed over one of the machine, aircon was ripped off the wall in the toilets.

3 of us went out when we saw the police about to come in so don't know what happened afterwards, which resulted in no-one in there being allowed out and they had an escort.

I was in the home end (it was an awful experience) and we constantly out sang them apart from maybe a few minutes in the first half. I was behind the opposite goal and could hear the city fans clear as anything. Plus I could hear the chants a good few hundred yards outside the ground post match. Good support lads

Strangely enough I thought it wasn't that good today. Think it was where I was in the away end though ( I asked the lady in the ticket office for a seat near the top of the stand and ended up five rows from the front!)

Derby's fans were very quiet though, apart from a few occasional outbursts from the two sections either side of our end. Not sure if the stand opposite where we were is their 'Kop' end but if so then that was embarrassing.

I thought we were good as well. I get fed up of this 'we were average' stuff, because most away games I attend the fans are excellent. Wasn't much room to move though!

I don't think we can talk considering our poor home atmosphere.

I think sometimes some people expect too much. Both respective league games were better this season than they were last.

Agree with that.

I'm just honest in what I think about our support. Don't buy into this "class every game" stuff but I am impressed by us so far this year, hope it's kept up.
