iamafox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 We haven't played at our best so far but overall we have made a good start, we should consider ourselves fortunate not to be lower in the table. I'm definitely pleased with 10 points from 5 games.
Guest shearfox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes I would, we were never going the whole season unbeaten, we never win at Charlton so things are still good.
GorlestonFox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Best start at this level for a few years I believe... cant be bad.
StanSP Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes. Haven't stats showed in the past that 2 points per game would get us automatically promoted? I'd happily take 4 games unbeaten and then 1 defeat for the rest of the season if it meant we get promoted (obviously I'd love to win EVERY game but realistically that has never happened with any team, ever).
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Promotion form... I no bit early... But still
Narborough_fox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes, if you wouldn't have taken that then you need your head checking. We haven't played our best yet got 10 points and that can only be a positive.
Mark_w Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Anyone who says they wouldn't have taken it is either lying or they're insane.
cc_star Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 2pts per game? Yes, yes & yes! Best start to a season at this level for 22 years? Yes, yes & yes! Pearson Out!
I am Rod Hull Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes.... This is the crazy unpredictable Championship we`re in where anyone can beat anyone. Lots of ups and downs to come but its all good fun
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes, absolutely. The only thing that worries me, a little, is that it's ten points against mid-table sides.
hesapeepingtom Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 well everyone barr qpr have had a little loss so far now! i just wish it wasnt against shit like charlton, but i do believe in bogey teams! id be happy with 20 from 10 so its not a bad start considering we havnt played well for a full 90 yet! we cant complain really if you look at how bolton and reading have started the season.
Corky Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes, absolutely. The only thing that worries me, a little, is that it's ten points against mid-table sides. We're five points better off compared to last season's fixtures.
Tom17LCFC Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Without doubt. We've not been playing well but that can be seen as a positive because it means there's plenty of room for improvement over the coming months, and the best teams always managed to grind results out when playing/starting badly which we've somehow become masters at.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 We're five points better off compared to last season's fixtures. Yes, that wasn't the point I was making though was it.
cjslcfc Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Too early to form many opinions about how the season will pan out. Although judging by their squad and how they've started, QPR are going to run away with the league at this rate. But, anyone would have taken 2 pts per game, and would do for the rest of the season... Solid start that we can and need to build on. We need to particularly build on our performances, which have been slightly disappointing. However, can't really complain with points tally!
crisp packet Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 All day long!! Was saying this in the car on way home...
Corky Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes, that wasn't the point I was making though was it. I'm just saying that they are mid-table sides that we are improving our points tally from. I know you mean about playing the top teams, we'll see in our next game how we fare against a favourite.
Harry - LCFC Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Yes, absolutely. The only thing that worries me, a little, is that it's ten points against mid-table sides. Doesn't that just show that we're dead set on promotion form though? Bit more against the bottom, bit less against the top, maintain what we've got in the middle - We're up. Don't see how that can worry you, taking ten points off higher placed sides would be very, very good.

Bit more against the bottom, bit less against the top, maintain what we've got in the middle - We're up. Don't see how that can worry you, taking ten points off higher placed sides would be very, very good. The point I was making was very straightforward. Let's see how we get on against the better sides. Then we'll have more of an idea. 'twas all..
stevelcfc Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Average of 2 points per game, keep that up, which is an immense task, and we are up as champions.
cjslcfc Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 5 of next 8 games are at home. Should really be taking advantage of this. Would be disappointed if we didn't have a decent points tally come end of October... Also very "Winnable" games. As dangerous as that word is in a very competitive and unpredictable league
