svensson Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Who cares about the economics. This is a woefully overpaid player, like all,who appears to have slighted fans. Why not do as bluefox suggests or ,better still, chant"ear, ear" Bit of a contradiction there.. Can you explain what his wage has do to with any of it? Are you stating that because he gets paid a lot, then he should act accordingly due to that wage?

If you don't like his goal celebration try satire.

I love his celebration! I hope he does it for the rest of the season.. You did fail to answer the question though. Maybe confused about how a forum works...

tontolcfc Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 He can cup his ears every week for me and I'll cheer louder every time he does I think the formation has been hard for our midfield only playing two in there on many occasions I think Drinky Kingy and James have all done well this season
MooseBreath Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I think we should all start cupping our ears everytime he gives the ball away or turns around and makes a 10-yard backwards pass. If he's dishing it out them he can take it. Even more so when he's giving it the biggun like he's some kind of hero after scoring a simple consolation goal in an otherwise woeful team performance.

Just a question but whats wrong with playing the ball backwards 10 yards if there isn't a "positive" pass on that he is cappable of making?

_Fatboyslow_ Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Just a thought, could the cupping be his way of saying, come on let's hear you ?
Guest ttfn Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Just a thought, could the cupping be his way of saying, come on let's hear you ? The message is pretty clear. It means the same in any language.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 The message is pretty clear. It means the same in any language. Ok fair enough so next it happens everybody boo
Guest ttfn Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Ok fair enough so next it happens everybody boo What would that achieve? Drinkwater already knows he's being a dick by doing it. He must do. The only question is whether it is understandable/justifiable.
sylofox Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 That won't happen because we arn't footballers. I get what you mean, I'm not debating against you. It's just that he's a footballer, and like all footballer's, they know what they are walking into. Getting booed is part and parcel of the game, even if it's your own fans (sadly). I have never booed him personally, I just understand that the public work hard every day of the week to then spend their money on tickets and everything at the football (which with today's prices can be the same as a day out, let's be honest), so there is a standard expectation. Players earn 10k a week, which we will never do, and there is only one way that fans can show they are unhappy. Players must understand that. That's why I love Nugent and Vardy because they give 100% every game which is all you want to see as a fan. Players play 90 minutes of football, all we ask for is to give the best even if we don't win, I mean, it's not as if they are piloting an aircraft or performing open heart surgery. Your correct on both parts. Had he stuck up 2 fingers I'd not be happy. In doing what he is doing he is let people know he's not happy either. And no wonder he's not happy the slagging he gets in here. The boro match thread he took a right hammering befor a ball was even kicked. For all we know he maybe a forum member and is reacting to all the abuse he gets.
newbie123 Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 half our fans are clueless who sit at home on foxes talk moaning when were loosing, if you attend games i believe you have the right to voice your opinion (unless your a complete idiot in that case keep quiet, chanting Weale when the opposing team score a great goal v Ricardo springs to mind and booing when were 1-0 down!) but if you sit at home then keep hush, i earn £60 per week as im only 15 and £50 of that goes on going to see Leicester home and away!
Bayfox Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 I mean, it's not as if they are piloting an aircraft or performing open heart surgery. Good ****ing job. Imagine him trying to land a plane sideways.
cambridgefox Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Good ****ing job. Imagine him trying to land a plane sideways.Ha" the runway is not very long, but look how fooking wide it is"
indierich06 Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 i earn £60 per week as im only 15 and £50 of that goes on going to see Leicester home and away! Good job mummy and daddy pay for everything else eh? Some of us have got priorities other than football which mean we can't make as many games as we'd like. So are we not entitled to an opinion?
Bert Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 What would that achieve? Drinkwater already knows he's being a dick by doing it. He must do. The only question is whether it is understandable/justifiable. He knows exactly what he is doing.
Jimmy Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Eventually he'll get booed massively for doing it as well if he carries on
marbelladave Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 He knows exactly what he is doing. Are you suggesting that he is trying to engineer a move away by making himself unpopular? If so why not ask for a transfer? Rumours abound that he does not get on with NFP and is generally unhappy, is the 'loyalty bonus' really that important? For what it is worth, it would appear that such bonus's are far more trouble than they are worth.

red5 Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 He knows exactly what he is doing. Going the same way as your mate Ben Marshall

No I am not calling for his head and players are not bigger than the club. But niether is NFP and if rumours are true this is gonna be his downfall. Praps a reason why no contract rumours about him. Bert can you shed any light as to whether he will be offered a new one.
