Bert Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Kasper 6 - Made a few decent saves, those you'd expect him to make though. Moore 7 - Solid. Attacked more in the first half than the second. Defended well throughout. Bakayogo 4 - Shocker. Gave the ball away a lot, out of position too much and looks very unfit. Wasilewski 8 - Collossol. Great technique, good On the ball and loves a tackle. Solid in the air too! Miquel 7 - Steady and quite composed. Grew into the game as it went on. James 5 - Didn't notice him one bit. Hammond 6 - Obviously lacking fitness but kept going to the end. Not scared to put his foot in either. Drinkwater 7 - Scored the winner but again was the pick of the midfield. Long may it continue. GTF 5 - Very unfit. Didn't offer much because of this. Hopper 5 - Just couldn't get into the game at all. Unlucky not to score early on. Schlupp 5 - Worst he's been for a while. Didn't look interested. Dyer 7 - Pace immediately had them worried. One of three that changed the game. Nuge 7 - Gave their defence something to think about. Should have scored but worked hard and brought others into play. Knocky 8 - Swung the game completely in iur favour. Nothing but positive play. Unbelievable free kick. Linked us from defence to midfield to attack. Fantastic.
nlukka Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Kasper 6 - quiet night all round. Moore 6 - struggled going forward, especially first half when he had no support on the wing. good defensively Marcel 8 - beast. Strong in the air and physical Miguel 6 - got better as the game went on Bakayogo 3 - feel like that's being generous too, not very good at all. mis-placed so many passes Drinky 7 - improved after the break when running forward with the ball. another goal too. Hammond 6 - solid, James 6 - still not looking like he was at the end of last season but good to get 90 minutes Hopper 5 - looked a little lost to be honest, not yet ready for this level I think GTF 5 - not match fit so unfair to criticise him. nice pass to play in nugent second half Schlupp 4 - nothing came off for him tonight. seemed scared to run with the ball Dyer 6.5 - gave us more pace and width when he came on, scared their right back Nugent 6 - good hassling and energy, poor finish when played in by GTF Knocky 8 - not just for the goal, but for his general movement, spark and creativity. Showed how he can change a game tonight

fleckneymike Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Bagayoko has never been a player. GTF was so far off the pace it was like he was playing in a different decade.
Dan LCFC Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Schmeichel - 7. Thought he had a pretty good game. Moore - 7. Couldn't complain with him tonight. Asked to play a role of covering more of the right than he's really capable of, and didn't handle it too badly. Miquel - 5. The lad doesn't convince me at all. Not terrible but not that good either. Wasilewski - 7. Very solid debut. Bakayogo - 4. Nowhere near good enough. James - 5. Passenger. Drinkwater - 6. Not bad but not that good either. Hammond - 6. He's a different dimension, gets stuck in which I suppose is a good thing in this kind of league, probably the pick of the midfielders. Taylor-Fletcher - 6. I didn't think he was bad to be fair, thought he was unlucky to be subbed, nice touch. Schlupp - 4. Had probably his worst game in a Leicester shirt. Hopper - 4. One point for each touch of the ball he had. Only joking, I don't think he had that many. Subs; Nugent - 7. Silenced a lot of his critics tonight for me. Although he failed to score, he's shown what he's worth to the team. We play far better with him in the side, he's a very decent link up man and he offered far more than Hopper. Dyer - 6. Looked very bright early on. His end product was hilariously bad but offered more threat than anyone in the first half, so credit for that. Knockaert - 8. He arguably beats King's goal for goal of the season so far, that is truly special. He was the difference tonight and when he's in that kind of form he's amazing. Lambert09 Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Some harsh judgements on Hopper considering there was zero service. He had two great headers from Moores throws which was alot better then anyone else offered, both could have ended up in the net as well.

Alf Bentley Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Schmeichel 6.5 Little to do; decent distribution Moore 6 Not as convincing as at centre back Wasilewski 7 Strong, intelligent anticipation/passing Miquel 7.5 Started slowly, became classy Bakayogo 3 Shockingly poor passing; deservedly subbed Hammond 7 Slow start, then began to look like the player we need him to be Drinky 7 More forward movement/aggression recently James 5 Non-existent 1st half, better 2nd GTF 6.5 Not quite fit, but some nice touches/passes - will be good Hopper 4 Non-existent; deservedly subbed Schlupp 5 Strangely tentative Nuge 6 Decent team effort Knocky 8 Game changer - flair with a team purpose Dyer 7 Scared them
Dan LCFC Posted 24 September 2013 Share Posted 24 September 2013 Some harsh judgements on Hopper considering there was zero service. He had two great headers from Moores throws which was alot better then anyone else offered, both could have ended up in the net as well. True that actually. The service was absolutely appalling in the first half. In fact, the first half in general was a joke. We were playing with no wide men other than the two full backs, one of them being a centre half who in my opinion can play a more defensive full back role, but is nothing special at all in getting forward - let alone without anyone in front of him, and Bakayogo on the other side who was poor. No width, the midfield giving it away regularly and the inevitable long balls getting us nowhere. Wouldn't mind seeing him again but he'll never develop if that's our gameplan. There seemed to be very little plan at all in the first half.
foxfanazer Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Kasper 7 Some decent saves and quite good distribution Bakoyogo 2 Hate to say it but it was one of the worst performances I've seen from a city player. Good on Nige bringing him off as he was struggling and it surely would've affected his confidence if he had played tge 2nd half Wasilewski 7.5 Some little errors but he is a unit amd rose into the game Miquel 6.5 looked alright, nothing special Moore 7.5 looked out of place with the second string. He should be in our 1st 11 week in week out Hammond 6 some loose passes buy he got stuck in James 5 did he play? Drinkwater 7 Kept at it despite losing the ball a few times and looked bettet when the subs came on Schlupp 4 really poor last night. Hope he bounces back. Maybe a loan out woild be good for him Gtf 5 non existent Hopper 5 non existent Dyer 7 injected pace into the game which unsettld their defence Nugent 7.5 brought some quality to the game and made himself available so we could actually pass forward, which we couldn't do in the first half Knockaert 8.5 As soon as he came on the game changed, his skill and touch was unreal. The goal was amazing! Sat right behind it and it was as if it was in slow motion, everything went quiet and then you heard the ping off the bar and I just went mental. He is class, simple as

Mack Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 Some decent saves, standard quality Kasper. Moore 7 Played full back and did it just fine. Wasilewski 8.5 MOTM for me. Strong, confident, experienced organizer with passing ability. Miquel 6 Nothing special, some good, some bad, not to be trusted in the big show on that Bakayogo 3 A mess. Wing back duties on a 4-3-3 dont look like his thing. Hammond 6.5 One of those who quietly contriibutes on the ugly side of the game. Did it fine. Drinkwater 7.5 One of his better outings, looks very good when he plays like this. James 6.5 Quietly found he feet after missing a couple. GTF 6 Obviously carrying a few bargain buckets, some lovely touches. Hopper 5 I hope people realise he's not ready for this level yet. Schlupp 6 His time at LB has taken a toll on when he goes up top, no longer a striker when he plays like that. Nuge 7 The missing focal point of the team in the first half. Knocky 8 When he plays like this he can change the course of a game. Dyer 7 Lively, fast, positive, attacking threat that had them panicking. The Polish lad looks every bit a first team regular. Experienced, confident, strong determined and capable organiser at the back who can also pass the ball competently. I'm not sure how he fits in and who for but he is worthy of a first team place. Callabinho Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Kasper - had a relatively easy night 7 Zoom - looked like a fish out of water, felt for the lad but hopefully he'll improve 4 Mercin - looked steady, a red card waiting to happen after a few cheeky kicks 8 Miquel - looked stead, won most of his headers 7 Moore - solid defensively 7 Hammond - inconsistent first touch for a MF, but got stuck in 6 James - had a quiet one 6 Drinkwater - looking back to his best, had a great second half 7 Schlupp - starting to look worse every week, poor touch, fumbles past players and makes poor decisions 4 Hopper - couldn't get into the game 4 Taylor fletcher - looked unfit, flashes of quality with the ball at his feet, will be a good addition in time 5 Nuge - more like it from Nuge, gave us more up top movement/creativity wise. 7 Dyer - got at them and caused problems 6 Knocky - just quality.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Main comments from last night, Zoom wasnt at all good but lets not hammer him for one game. Schlupp wasnt his best but certaily wasnt as bad a some of you are making out. Did a good defensive job at LB The polish lad Wasilewski was good but not outstanding, needs more games but quality is obviously there Drinky was comfortably our best centre mid last night. Any critics of him, think again when your moaning Taylor Fletcher is obviously slow but he's a very intelligent player with good vision and nice touch, think he'll be a shrewd signing
leicesterseddon Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 We look so much better when we have width, both going forward and defensively. Knockaert changed the game. Dyer and Nugent made helpful contributions and Wasilewski's performance was encouraging, shows we have some back-up for that position if we need it. Drinkwater was the best of a very bad bunch in the first half. On the downside, Schlupp and James were disappointing, as was GTF (who, as others have said, was clearly not fit). Bakayogo had an absolute stinker - if you didn't go to the game, my only advice would be to start praying that Konchesky stays fit.
artursteppe Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Thought the young Arsenal lad, Miquel was good after a nervous first 30 minutes. Mercin, marvelous - first game in months, when you consider that I can only conclude he is real quality. Hammond very slightly the best of a poor midfield in the first half ( Drinky and James were poor ). Then very solid central midfield control in the second half gave Drinky the opportunity to go forward with Knocky and Lloyd running riot. It's a bonus to have a midfield player who consistency wins headers just outside both boxes. There is no doubt that Mercin and Hammond are both first team quality, and I think Miquel could prove to be better that the Man U loanee from last season. We have far more depth in quality than we have had for very many years.

bigneville Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Ratings from game. Schmeichel - 6.5 - Made some decent saves when called upon. Still looks nervous under the high ball into the box. Moore - 7 - Steady. Was clear he was one of the first team players playing. Miquel - 6.5 - Needs to lift his physical atributes as often loses out in the physical battle, but did ok. Wasilewski - 7 - Looks mean and angry and a little rash. Second half was a massive improvement and looked like a good signing. Decent on the ball. Bakayogo - 3 - Horrific. Couldnt pass, tackle or cross. James - 6 - Poor first half, but lifted his game when the better players arrived. Hammond - 6.5 - Similar to above, but made a bigger impression second half. Drinkwater - 7 - Similar first half to above, but second half was at the heart of most of our good play Taylor-Fletcher - 6 - Occasional glimpses of quality, but not often enough. Lack of fitness is a real concern. Hopper - 5 - Looked well out of his depth. Very little impression, but still young. Schlupp - 6 - Offered nothing first half, and would have been removed if it wasn't for Hopper. Better second half. Subs Dyer - 6.5 - Just being on the pitch added some width and helped to cause the problem. Derby were scared of his pace. Nugent - 6.5 - His work-rate and enthusaism was the catalyst behind the improvement. Just a shame his individual quality was still lacking. Knockaert - 8 - MOTM - In his cameo, he did more in an attacking sense than anyone else. Was key in the turnaround and key in all attacking quality.
