One Legged Beaver Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Wigan could go to Wembley three times this season now and we won't have been there since 2000, how depressing
Matt Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 It's a choice between Arsenal or Hull. Surely you can't want Hull. As much as I like Wigan as underdogs the thought of them winning 2 FA Cups to our nil is sickening. I can. I don't get the Hull hate tbh, by all means I don't like them, I wouldn't even say I like them, there are many teams I would pick above Hull, they are very low on the 'list' (Not that there is a list ) but I don't get why people hate Hull? Is it about the trouble we had getting Pearson back? If so, who cares? We 'won', we got him back, yes they were arsey about it, yes it took a while but ultimately we 'won'. Yeah their fans are abit cringy, but i'm sure other clubs take the piss out of our club, fans, something to do with us for one reason or another. If I had to say who I wanted to win the cup now, I'd be pushed I couldn't genuinly say I wanted any clubs left in it to win it, but what I will say Arsenal are the club I least want to win it.
Craig Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 The reality of this is that either Hull or Sheffield United will be in Europe next season if Arsenal can dispose of Wigan. Could have been Charlton.
Stadt Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Oh yeah Gibbs, Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain are all plastic Englishmen.
Stadt Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 It's just Hull ffs. Allam, Mauled by the tigers, tried to buy Schmeichel after saying they wouldn't do business with us, their fans that came on here. Oh yeah and the city of culture bid
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Amazing day for Wigan and Sheff Utd. Both clubs off to Wembley with amazing days out for their respective fans. It shows how great the FA Cup remains and how smaller clubs CAN defeat bigger ones if the desire is there. Hats off to both clubs.
Corky Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Thank fvck they appointed Coyle instead of Rosler in the summer, they'd be pushing top two by now if he'd been there all season. Wonderful display from Wigan, 12 FA Cup matches unbeaten now
Uncle Albert Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 I don't like Arsenal purely because it's another london club, big headed fans, lack of english in the team also don't like wenger! Jenkinson, Gibbs, Wilshire and Oxlade-Chamberlain, lack of Englishmen there. Seriously have a think sometimes. Pleased for Wigan, thoroughly deserved. Arsenal fans need to remember their Carling Cup Final before thinking they have won the FA Cup, still two games.

Uncle Albert Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 5 players in a 25 man squad is a lack of Englishman, I don't really understand your point. 4 players who play regularly for a team 3rd in the League. Granted Jenkinson is cover for Sagna but has played a lot. It's hardly like the rest of the top teams are playing a strong amount of English players, bar Liverpool. Seriously though, do you just wait for me to post and then snipe straight away?

Who said anything about the top teams? He just said that he doesn't think they have many English players, which is undeniable.
Nugent Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 You'd think that with all of City's millions they'd invest in a quality centre half, Demichelis is robbing a living in the Prem.
Uncle Albert Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Who said anything about the top teams? He just said that he doesn't think they have many English players, which is undeniable. I clearly mentioned the top teams, I could go through every team, not enough Premier League teams are playing English players regularly, so I don't see why Arsenal are being slated purely for that, if anything it's quite a stupid thing to say.

He was giving his reasons for not liking Arsenal because that was his contribution to the discussion we were having (who would you like to win the cup). He doesn't want Arsenal to win and one of the reasons why is because the remaining 3 teams have more English players. What is stupid about that?
Lamby Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Jenkinson is half Finnish so you can only count him as half an Englishman! He only played like 2 games for us then Arsenal brought him for around £1.5M, we're laughing now!
Father Ted Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Jenkinson is half Finnish so you can only count him as half an Englishman! He only played like 2 games for us then Arsenal brought him for around £1.5M, we're laughing now! Why are you laughing? £1.5m for a player you could probably have scammed £5m for now..

Craig Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Yeah. Great deal. £1.5m for an England international that has been invested really well. Lawrie Wilson started at right back for Charlton today. Yes, that's Lawrie Wilson the ex-Stevenage, Colchester, and Welling United man. Laughing.

kingfox Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Well despite mocking Lamby, that woman in the pink ain't half bad.
