Buce Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 Just been looking at the Forest forum (can't link it from my phone) and they have a six-page thread glorying over how 'hard' they've been throughout the years.. Plenty of tales about battering us, including claiming to have taken the kop back in the sixties. Now, that's not how I remember it at all; I do remember us taking their end around that time though. Do any of the older fans have any memories of this?
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 I understand from my reading that the Baby Squad weren't known for travelling, but not many firms fancied their chances at Filbert Street. They were real nasty bastards, even most of the major London firms such as Chelsea, West Ham and Millwall respected them as a home force.
johnny the fox Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 They couldn't take a s h i t without help.
NewquayFox Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 Chelsea got into the back of the Kop in the early 70s, but it didnt last long though.... ;0)
Fox92 Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 Just And that's not about any claim, just the thread in general.

Clearlydon't this is all lies as there is no history between us and they don't cre bout us so could never have happened or could it be we were there main rivals in the 60's and 70's.
sylofox Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 I worked in notts with one of there main lads. He said he would never come back to filbo as we were all fvckin mad. He was a little upset one of his mates dived under his car on the cattle market car park. When it all kicked off as they took off there jackets to get in the car. Our boys wanting to do a propper job rolled his car so they could kick fvck out the lad under it. After the rest had been battered. Oh and the babysquad did travel.

Me and my mates (hinckley mob) went in the kop even though most of the regulars were dispersed around the ground. About 2pm we decided we'd better give it a go, so around 30 of us started singing City songs. Well, the place went mental, and all the regulars ran from all over the ground, across the pitch, and into the kop. There was then a 3 hour battle- I guess we won cos florist got pushed into the corner between kop and mainstand. One of the great sites, what seemed like thousands of city fans rampaging over the pitch to do battle with florist. Still get goose bumps just typing this up!

I miss the days of wire fencing, heavy handed coppers and games being stopped or even called off because of a few pissed up brain dead knuckle draggers.
ADK Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 At least you didn't need to worry about the horror that is adults in the family stand.
1964FOX Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 To be fair you Hinckley boys could look after yourselves

But the london firms never really respected us. Most of them took a kicking up here yes. But they always felt the old bill turned a blind eye if leicester were on top and waded in if not.
