Strokes Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 I don't think them having sex with each other is such a problem. They need to protected by the law from adults, so it should be 18 in my opinion.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Half your age ought to be the rule. Also, before anybody else gets in.....
leicsmac Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Total illegality under 15, from 15-18 the half+7 rule should apply, above 18 no restrictions. Simple.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 I ****ed a 15 year old when I was 17. Looking back it seems so wrong!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 I ****ed a 15 year old when I was 17. Looking back it seems so wrong! Is it THAT wrong, really? I'm not saying it is or isn't, but it does seem a bit harsh that theoretically you could end up on the sex offenders register for that (although in reality it's highly unlikely)
The God Emperor Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 I ****ed a 15 year old when I was 17. Looking back it seems so wrong! we've got the confession! to catch a predator foxestalk edition

We were together 3 years after that and before we'd got together she'd had more partners than i had despite me being the one of legal age.

sphericalfox Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Add extremely Dangerous Tiger to the list: It's the way it was though, and it was totally acceptable then. Never questioned, and just the norm on the music scene. Loved it myself.I never knew anyone who didn't. It was all part of the sixties scene. Now, nearly fifty years on, they are judged by today's standards. All these people crawling out of the woodwork all these years late, and all together. It's just the latest trend to have a witch hunt, and grab any cash that might be going. Long live the "sixties scene", it was well and truly "way out", and free and easy. A different world the that of today. Very happy memories of a great era.
Haydos Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Add extremely Dangerous Tiger to the list: What is that quote about/context?
lavrentis Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Could do a Japan and lower it to 13 and claim they don't have a pedophile problem .........
sphericalfox Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 What is that quote about/context? Here you go. Entirely in context. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/83917-claims-that-jimmy-savile-was-a-nonce/?p=2774554
ousefox Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Don't know if I've lived a sheltered life or something but there's no way a third of people I knew had sex before 16 - probably about 6 or 7 out of a couple of hundred tops.
Fox92 Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 15 seems so young! ... In that article it states kids aged 14 have sex. I must have missed that bit out at school. I don't think many people had sex before they were 16 at my school. You'll always get those 'forward' kids, but I would question the 'a third of kids' bit. I doubt many are mature enough to have sex at 16, never mind 15.

Maybe its more common now but a few years ago I wouldn't have thought it was
Mack Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 This is more about kids having kids for me. We dont need to change the law, we need to educate and raise our youth to be better adolescents and better young adults.
Webbo Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 This is more about kids having kids for me. We dont need to change the law, we need to educate and raise our youth to be better adolescents and better young adults. Hasn't that been tried already?
leicsmac Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 Hasn't that been tried already? Perhaps the wrong things are being said then. And with some parents, it's pretty evident that some kids don't stand a chance of becoming 'better people' in the first place. In the end, it's up to the parents to raise their kids right.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 I don't think them having sex with each other is such a problem. They need to protected by the law from adults, so it should be 18 in my opinion. I fully concur with this.
ADK Posted 17 November 2013 Posted 17 November 2013 We need to be more open about sex imo. I'm not sure about the whole age of consent thing. There are pros and cons.
