I thought it was a silly stadium rule. Yep. Of course football could ignore it like any other sports, but we are talking about a game here that relishes the chance to gain control over virtually everyone who watched it. Add to that no one really has any balls behind the scenes (see the Susan Whelen 'we'll give you our opinion if somebody else in authority agrees with us') and it won't be changing anytime soon. http://www.fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/Campaign-to-loosen-football-booze-laws-launched.php It is currently against the law to consume alcohol within view of the pitch and the law covers “all designated sports groundsâ€. However, it is not applied to any other games or events, including both rugby codes, cricket and music concerts, even when they take place in football stadiums.

They have an open view of the pitch from the left corner of the concourse so they have had to create a yellow hatched box in which alcohol cannot be consumed. It's this weird little wedge of yellow policed by eagle eyed stewards.

Football fans will bend over take anything. When the International Cricket Council told Lords they had to ban their rules of allowing people to bring either four cans or a bottle of wine in the ECB just threatened to withdraw Lords as a Test match ground until it was resolved, they backed down straight away and it's still the only Cricket ground in the World where you can take your own drink in despite the ICC having laws against it. The FA could easily do the same with Wembley to the government if it wanted to, they would cave in seconds with the amount of tax revenue it would cost them through various things of having 90,000 spending a fortune on taxable products. That was kind of my point - it's nothing Leicester can do anything about so I've no criticism towards them on the matter, I just think it's one of these things English football itself needs to do, a bit like safe standing.

No idea on the vendor arrangemets but can there not be a King Power van selling Pad Thai noodles or some chicken satay, or basically anything that isnt a leather burger? Another point about my German trip. The food over there absolutely shits on what you get in English grounds. Currywurst is beautiful.

Also, if you try to use your previous delievery details it just says that a problem has been encountered and can't continue. I've attempted this several times in the past couple of weeks but will probably give up now. I'm sitting here with my credit card and everything. Another sale lost.

We are stuck with the ticket prices, no matter how overpriced some people might think they are, because we all love watching the team and don't want to/can't stop. Personally I don't go to the match itself for a meal and a piss-up; a few pints in the pub and a couple of cobs beforehand does me just fine, and I reckon it would barely register with me if they got rid of the kiosks altogether. But it seems to be that if the beer and the food is so bad, why does anyone get it? A match is only 90 minutes long, it's not like you are watching a Test match where food and drink is necessary. If it was as bad as people are making out, if everyone stopped using the kiosks and they were selling fvck all they would be forced to change their strategy and up their game. I agree with you here and it's reached the point where eating at the ground doesn't even strike me as something I'll ever do anymore, but I think it's another case of Leicester not making the most of potential business.

With the Rugby World Cup announced, I noticed 'Leicester City Stadium' hosts 3 matches - 4th October, 6th October & 11th October. The former and latter are Saturdays, with the middle being a Monday. 1) - How will the pitch cope with 3 rugby matches in such a short space of time and what will be done to ensure the pitch is taken back to it's pristine standard thereafter (doesn't it take longer than a month after relaying it for it to be up to the required standard we know and love?). 2) - Fixtures - I presume the mysterious fixture generator will give us an away game on one of those days. If not, is it likely the matches could get moved to Fridays or just away from that week altogether? It has just popped in to my mind that one of those weekends will actually be an internationals weekend.

The fact that tickets are easily accessible to people outside of their appropriate priority period is a serious concern. The club need to do more to ensure that, for sell out fixtures, the tickets fall into the hands of the fan who can verify their attendance through the priority points system. It's not fair.
Foxes_Trust Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 To pick up on a few points raised Clubs stance on Safe Standing - from previous dialogue the club (current owners) prefers to spend time focusing on the Family Stand (where law allows them to act) rather than Safe Standing (where they can do nothing until the law changes... so basically up to fans to politically lobby - the club prefers other clubs to "take the lead", and a growing number are now saying they are in favour. There is no doubt that for Safe Standing to be introduced that trials will need to take place first at a number of clubs, before clearance is given to introduce at every ground. The club does not want to be part of this trial, in part because the cost of adapting an area of our ground would be far more than at older stadiums. There are also a couple of clubs with more modern stadiums who have said they are willing to take part in the trial, so our club will leave it to those clubs - the club however has not ignored the issue, and while no one from the club attended the Safe Standing Roadshow which was held on a matchday, there was a Parliamentary event which Susan Whelan attended (there is an online video of part of the proceedings where Susan is clearly visible), so some effort in understanding of the issue has taken place at a high level 6 Man City tickets for Season Ticket holders - our representative at the FCC has this on our list to question who was consulted fan wise on setting that level of tickets Discounted Tickets - as well as educational establishments, we seem to be coming across on a more regular basis, discounted tickets being offered at larger local employers. This isn't a new thing, it's just the number of occasions members have come across these offers seems to be growing, so we wondered if more were in circulation, so again plan to question tomorrow Head of Ticketing - prior to the current FCC set up, the Commercial Director had presented to the previous FCC members a revised structure, from memory there were about 6 new appointments in total - aim was to have more focused areas of leadership, rather than being spread too thin. The new structure in effect replaced Chris Tinbergen (managed the ticket office, now works at the Football League) & Ben Swift (club shop, now works at Watford). Swapping the Family Stand & The Kop - certainly the Away section has to stay where the best access is for buses/leading fans out of the ground for a walk to the station, and the Health & Safety authorities would not sanction a move. From conversations we have had with members who are Kop Season Ticket holders if they would not be willing to swap to have the sun in their faces during games Away Ticket Prices (FSF Twenty's Plenty campaign) - there recently has been one £20 reciprocal deal in the Championship been agreed between Derby & Barnsley, so would hope this will be discussed tomorrow night, needs to be with a club we haven't played yet.

The quality of concrete and extra legroom to facilitate seats in modern all-seaters would actually make the process easier and cheaper rather than harder. The steep gradient of all-seaters is also needed to fit the rail seats proposed, as well as for using them to their full potential on the occasions they'd be needed for seated use such as Europa League and Champions League matches. The conversion of an old terrace to an all-seater to a safe standing area would be more difficult due to lack of legroom, lower quality concrete and the fact that the gradient would be too shallow to accommodate the rail seating. I think it's a shame the club can't be more pro-active on this issue, especially given numerous Championship clubs now are.
