promised land Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Marquee selling beer outside the ground sounds quality. The best example for this has to be the Etihad now, ok they get twice the support we do at present but they have some kind of open bar area behind their North stand, permanent with proper canopies. Been there a few seasons now so it must work.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Atmosphere is to do with people in the stadium, nothing to do with the people in charge of the club. They're actually very welcoming to new ideas on how to improve the atmosphere, so feel free to volunteer any ideas (I'm sure you've got plenty) and I'll gladly take them to the next meeting for you. N block, fosse boys and L1 ? Kevin Barclay tbf has been superb in letting the fans create a great atmosphere. No offence now you're part of the clique, you don't represent true Leicester fans.
Strokes Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 No offence now you're part of the clique, you don't represent true Leicester fans. Why are you creating a us and them attitude, its not helpful or i suspect true. It must be quite a hard job being a voicepiece for such a divisive set of fans, who all want their needs pandering too like children.

This is the most embarrassing post I've seen on this forum for a long time and I've read plenty of lambys and leciesterpools but this trumps them all!

N block and Fosse boys have both done more harm to themselves that the club has, you'll find a lot of people agree with me there. L1? What's wrong with that - hundreds allowed to stand without interference. Not the club's fault people would rather be on their phones than contribute to atmosphere. For what it's worth I try to represent views from as many fans as I can do at these meetings, even if it's something that doesn't particularly affect or interest me. I've also offered to do the same for you if you could offer some decent suggestions about atmosphere, but surprisingly you just choose to slag the club off and not offer a potential solution.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Has Kevin Barclay Bully boy tactics ever been brought up ??? Thing is, you're sitting there with your tea and your custard creams and they're pretending they give a crap. Honestly since this group was created ??? What has change ? What have the club done since this fan group started ???

They've done loads, they've.......................................................er.................................well they've................................... .......they charged away supporters £5 to park at the stadium if they don't use the clubs coaches, that they make a big markup on of course.

What have the club done since this fan group started ??? If you have issues with Kevin Barclay then you'll have to email Fanzone, the committee isn't really the correct approach to that. To answer your point, this committee has been running for years, although you probably weren't aware seeing as the old committee members remained consistent through those years and this is the first time the club has shaken it up, and will continue to do so by changing the committee members every season. It's the first time that the club have actively tried to get all fans involved, by providing FCC email addresses, asking us for agenda items etc. If you don't think that's a good thing then you're obviously blinded by what seems to be an irrational hatred for the management and ownership. There have been a lot of minor things changed, some that might go unnoticed such as new microphones being purchased and used to make Birch clearer, away ticket info being put on matchday screens as well as home tickets, changes to ladies merchandise, changes to food options in hospitality. I appreciate they may not impact you, but they are important for some fans. They also discussed things such as membership pricing, and u21 pricing with us and then made decisions based on the feedback. Don't get me wrong, there will probably never be any ground-breaking changes, but the committee provides the opportunity for fans to raise points directly to senior management and directors. The aim of the committee is to improve communication between club and fans, and things such as Sky TV choosing our games (the refund idea was also suggested by FCC members btw), Middlesbrough last season have all been explained more clearly on here by myself and the other members following the meetings. The meetings give people the opportunity to have their say, I've offered to take your ideas to the meetings but instead you do the easy thing and just criticise.
Leicester Lass Posted 1 March 2014 Author Posted 1 March 2014 I'll believe that when I see them complying with Union FS, who have in my opinion, acted exactly the right way throughout. Agreed on this. Jim is very willing to meet with a representative from Union FS in due course. I've also discussed with him the possibility of having a Union FS rep on the FCC going forward. I honestly hope it runs smoothly.

Which will allow the other block further along apart of it. Even if it meant higher prices for N block (the same as the KOP) this would improve the atmosphere. This way we would drown the away fans out.
Leicester Lass Posted 29 June 2014 Author Posted 29 June 2014 The next FCC meeting is next week, if anybody has any issues that they want me to raise then please let me know by Tuesday evening so that it can be added to the agenda for Thursday.

Bayfox Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Can you please find put if there is any remote possibility of franchising out the kiosks to some half decent companies to create a bit of competition in terms of pricing and service. ie burger king, mcds, subway who ever it maybe but it seems the catering is the only part that hasn't moved with the times within football. Or can they bring back a 2.50 hoggie not the over priced crap they sell now. could you also feed back that the 16 quid increase on my season ticket was more than reasonable.
Voll Blau Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Any chance of touting the idea of some fan consultation on the pre-match playlist? Ideally they'd play nowt, but some more relevant tunes than just chart shit might be nice.

Problem with the catering is that we initially signed a 10 year deal with Compass and we're still not even half way through it! Costs to exit the contract are substantial so we may be stuck with them for the foreseeable future. There's always chat about the catering at these meetings so if there is any change then I will let you know. Have you done the supporters survey? There's a lot of questions about catering in that, and I imagine the feedback will be unanimously negative.

Bayfox Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Yes and included the same points there. I would love to know the cost of exiting the contract compared to what they could then get mcds for example to pay in rent for say 2 units in each stand. I just reckon the competition side of it would drive standards up.
StanSP Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Chloe, you may even know an official stance yourself, but what's the club's view on stadium expansion? Obviously everyone knows a few years ago there would be talk of expanding the stadium when we reached the Premier League. Is there a time-frame in which it could happen? Is it relatively high on the list of priorities away from getting the on-field matters correct in preparation for next season and beyond?

Will ask for it to be added to the agenda.
Corky Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Goal music - get rid of it. Thanks Absolutely, should never have been brought in originally but now it's run it's course, we just don't need it any more. I doubt the people it was aimed at are bothered or interested in it now.
Ashley Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Can we move the family stand over a couple of blocks like someone has suggested in other threads? P & P1 as normal blocks and the family stand from P2 around to A Block?

Gary Eatfood Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 I know on the OfficialFoxes twitter feed they already ask for suggestions for pre-match songs. If they could just turn it down for a start we might be able to get some atmosphere going inside the ground pre-match. Also, I wouldn't have to shout at my daughter so I can be heard! That and a more suitable version of WYS pre-match, not Jersey Budd.
