Charnwood Norris Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 They have been short listed to 3. I think Ribery deserves it this year if going by achivement alone: - Champions League champion, German League champion, German Cup champion, Uefa Super Cup champion. - 15 goals, 15 assists. Ronaldo Accolades 2012-2013 season: none. - 51 goals, 12 assists Messi Accolades 2012-2013 season: Spanish league, Spanish Super Cup - Goals 37, assists 11.
Danizen Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ronaldo is the best player in the world, at the moment. It's just that Real Madrid are streets behind Bayern and Barca. Team achievements should be a factor in the decision but it shouldn't be the only factor.
marko Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ribery isn't even the best player in his team, let alone Europe or the world.
ScouseFox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ronaldo was just about edging Messi when the votes started and since then Messi had a dodgy patch and then got injured whilst Ronaldo has scored a ridiculous amount of goals for Real as well as qualifying Portugal for the WC in boss fashion. If Ronaldo doesn't win it then something has gone wrong IMO. Ribery is a great player but his nomination is more team based, he's won every cup etc but his goals/assists/performance stats aren't even worth comparing with Ronaldo or Messi.
Bert Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 How can it be anyone but Ronaldo? Remember it's based on the year they've head, and he's been better than both. It's an individual award, not a team award.
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Messi with no votes Ronaldo for me. I prefer Messi as a player but it's been Ronaldo's year.
Guest MattP Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ronaldo probably. Can't stand him though so I voted for the rapist.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 How can it be anyone but Ronaldo? Remember it's based on the year they've head, and he's been better than both. It's an individual award, not a team award. This.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ribery. Just for a laugh so we can see Ronaldo's face.
Corky Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 This. Ribery Spanish PFA Team of the Year Ronaldo Spanish PFA Team of the Year- 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 Messi Spanish PFA Team of the Year- 2006/07, 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 Seems to clear to me who it should be.
Maybes Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ronaldo has been simply sensational. Has to win it.
Captain... Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Ribery. Just for a laugh so we can see Ronaldo's face. I'm just picturing Ronaldo's face now, he would go into meltdown.
Darkon84 Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Has to be Ronaldo, surely? He has been insane in the last year. If Ribery wins it, there is something VERY wrong going on. Team accolades are for the team, and as someone mentioned above, Ribery isn't even the best player in his team, let alone the world.
Dan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Debatable about Ribery. Pretty sure I've read that Bayern fans largely consider him their star man although I think someone who watches more German football than me is far more qualified to comment on that subject. My favourite player from Bayern is Schweinsteiger. Think he's quite possibly the most complete midfielder on the planet.
sprague Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I think it would be Ronaldo. It seems that all aspects are like. Moreover, he is my favorite player. I hope he's winning. Now he's getting better and better performance. He is proud of Real Madrid. La Liga is the best. I'm proud to be his fans. To have his football shirt http://www.wysjg.com/custom-football-shirts-real-madrid-20132014-cristiano-ronaldo-p-537.html and crazy.
deejdeej Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Prefer Messi as a player. But surely Ronaldo this year.
