Potential January signings

He has. I think Watford suited him because it's still pretty much 'that London'. He never looked like he wanted to be in nottingham so....good luck in Middlesbrough.

Btw, Hobbs is staying at Forest.

Have you matched Reading's bid then?

I am delighted to announce that I have just agreed a deal with Hull City's chairman for Jack Hobbs. #NFFC

Is that a deal which ignores our sell on clause as well?

Are Forest inline with FFP or are they just risking it for a biscuit??

I suspect some sort of workaround has been arranged to avoid any sell on clause. £1 for Hobbs £599.987 for his loan for the rest of the year. I suspect sell on clauses are a thing of the past these days.

As for ffp, I've no idea. I am lead to believe our wages are relatively low but with very generous ad ons for winning, scoring, promotion etc. but I strongly suspect we fall a long way short of meeting any ffp criteria.

Not been in much use with the 7 wins in 22 games ;)

Forest are a long way off hitting the FFP rules this year

They are risking it all this year in the hope of promotion - A few teams are in the same boat

It'll be really interesting to see what happens if they don't make it up

Leicester have been very clever with the finances this year - the contract situation shows this. Even if we do not go up we'd still be in a very good position to justify we are complying with FFP - Forest are a long way off

How do you know this?   I hope it is true as I think it's totally unfair if some teams are trying to comply with the new rules whilst others aren't, but I can't find anywhere that confirms what people might be assuming on here?

For the financial year ending May 31, 2012, you make losses of £12m.... since then you have had two spending sprees.

If you make it I would be amazed.

As far as I understand, the only bonuses etc that do not count towards FFP are a promotion Bonus.  Match winning, goal scoring bonuses etc all count towards FFP, not just the salary paid to a player.

Tom Cairney -

Only recently signed on a permanent for Blackburn, But looking VERY capable against man city at the moment,

Vision, control, Passing, forward thinking..

Would love to see him in a city shirt if we made the premiership!

regarding Cairney Nigel used to play him abit for Hull

Watching him vs city now, He looks so comfortable on the ball, looks the only blackburn player with any ideas

Would you believe it the other player for blackburn that has stood out is ben marshall

My Forest supporting friends claim they have it on good authority that FFP sanctions would not stand up in court, it appears the club owners/management feel the same.

This is former lawyer Jim price's opinion. Jim Price is a hugely contentious figure ATM.

I happen to believe he's a self serving **** devoid of the first clue of what it takes to run a football club....but that's just my opinion.

As to all the other points made, I'd like to disagree (this being the internet and all) but you're all about right.

I saw someone link us to Tom Ince.As much as i would like to see this it is incredibly unlikely because...

A) We dont need another winger

B) To get him we would have to ignore FFP

C)Blackpool are way more likley to sell to a prem club then a championship

I may be wrong in my thinking.

But I thought the clubs signed up to this FFP or at least agreed to it.

All the fa have done is bought it in at our level before it hits europe wide.

Sure forests owners will convert the debt like our owners have.
