kingfox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Oviedo is a left-back, but anybody who mentions his name in this thread as a potential signing, is pissed.
Happy Fox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Aaron Creswell we were after him last January but it fell down I doubt our interest has waned in him, probably won't be able to get him this January but the summer for our prem capaign here is hoping.
GingerrrFox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 If we go up I would love a big man like Bony to play alongside Vardy. Bony is an absolute beast of a striker. Strong, powerful, fast, holds the ball up well, excellent in the air, good feet and a wonderful strike.
MGLCFC Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Creswell just signed new contract at Ipswich, so doubt we have any chance in Jan.
fazzyfox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Re Left backs, Taylor of Swansea looked a very good player before his injury, whilst he was out the youngster Davies took his place and became highly thought of himself and has kept it leaving Taylor on the bench upon his return. I think it cold be worth asking about Taylors availability on loan with a view to becoming permanent (he's 24 so would be a good investment) or Swansea might approve a loan just to be happy for him to get games under his belt at this stage.
Toffee_Fox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Oviedo is a left back, he hasn't got the footballing brain (yet) to be a winger in the sense that Coleman had, he hugs the touchline too much rather than cutting inside and so on, he won't be going anywhere however, he's only 23, here for a long time!
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 If we go up I would love a big man like Bony to play alongside Vardy. Bony is an absolute beast of a striker. Strong, powerful, fast, holds the ball up well, excellent in the air, good feet and a wonderful strike. I spent 3 years signing him on FM Problem is we'd have to part with ATLEAST £10m if not more
MC Prussian Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Can we keep this thread focused on potential January signings, and not wishful thinking and/or FM talk?
Nick Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I would be concerned that Ince even if it was a viable option would not be the sort of 'character' that would fit in with the squad............
LCCFox96 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I would be concerned that Ince even if it was a viable option would not be the sort of 'character' that would fit in with the squad............ Not so sure on that. I think he is off form this season but he always comes across as hard working and puts in a decent shift every time I see him play. I can see your point though but as Blackpool's one big flair player and being managed/controlled by his Dad he has given that bad character feeling sometimes. I think he needs to break free from Blackpool but that will not be with us.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I would be concerned that Ince even if it was a viable option would not be the sort of 'character' that would fit in with the squad............ I think he's a tit.
OxfordshireFox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Leicester City set to sign Wes Hoolahan on a 2 and a half year deal. A transfer fee has been agreed between the two clubs.] If only there was an ounce of truth in this
pazzerfox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Wes Hoolahoop is not a bad player to be fair.
ronnup Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 If Man U strengthen at left back which they may well do I'd love us to have a go at getting Buttner on loan. Cracking player.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Leicester City set to sign Wes Hoolahan on a 2 and a half year deal. A transfer fee has been agreed between the two clubs.] If only there was an ounce of truth in this He's admitted to handing in a rejected transfer request but Villa are favourites to get him. Not fussed about him personally
GingerrrFox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 If Man U strengthen at left back which they may well do I'd love us to have a go at getting Buttner on loan. Cracking player. Yes. If he was anywhere but a Top 4 club he would be seen as a quality player.
Simonb Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Yes. If he was anywhere but a Top 4 club he would be seen as a quality player. He's not at a top four club anymore
Molson Canadian Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Abdisalam Ibrahim http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdisalam_Ibrahim just been released by manchester city.
LCCFox96 Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Ibrahim seems a very decent player with a real chip on his shoulder about first team football. Is imagine if he were to sign for any club he'd be looking low end EPL and top end championship (in England anyway) and for these teams he'd have to earn his place. Should he have not achieved that within a few months he'll get pissed off again. City fans seem to loath him for that despite his potential.
RizLCFC Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 I'd love it if we signed him but there'll be plenty of European clubs after him.
