Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Can't see anymore business coming in now. Maybe Waggy and St Ledger out I would be pretty happy going into the promotion push with this squad.
LCCFox96 Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 I could see a loanee in at left back if Konch is out for longer than 3-4 weeks. Maybe only a month deal initially and then extend it if there parent club does not need them or we need to cover for longer. Other than that I'm not sure we need anybody else or I would want anyone else for the first team. There may be a signing for the u/21 side though. Some people have mentioned Jed Wallace of Portsmouth. Now would be a good time to add him if we can get him cheapish and give him the time to develop
ithuriel Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Would be surprised to see any more players coming in now but fingers crossed that perhaps just one more quality addition
Scoobyrob Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 We have 4 central defenders, 1 left back and 1 right back. Moore covers right back and Miguel left back. If we don't include Jeff as backup, surely we are light. If Moore breaks his leg for example we then have 1 spare centre back and no spare right back. Feels a bit scary to me!
LCFC FOX Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Jonathan Parr I think would be a good signing Pete O'Rourke â€@SkySportsPeteO4m Wigan are one of several clubs eyeing a move for Crystal Palace defender Jonathan Parr. #CPFC #WAFC

LCCFox96 Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Remember us being linked to him before he signed for Palace. Good player Remember us being linked to him before he signed for Palace. Good player Yeh I think Sven tried to sign him from his Norwegian team before palace got him.
FreddieFox Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Kevin Phillips says that he thinks they'll be at least one more signing for us (loans or perm) or possibly two before the end of this transfer window to back our promotion push. Maybe his thinking comes from his own opinions or from discussions with NP when agreeing to sign for us!

NP will be well piss if he told him and KP has blurted it out. Could be the early headbutt for KP.

Jimmy Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 a left back, any left back, that will actually challenge Konchesky
Stadt Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 a left back, any left back, that will actually challenge KoncheskyI'd like to have a left back that is better than Konchesky on loan, there's enough out there.
dog_4 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 going beyond January we obviously need a new long term left back! My three options would be Emilio Izaquirre,Bryan Oviedo or Ryan Bertrand! Keeping in mind we're one of four clubs debt free, why not show some ambition!

Keeping in mind we're one of four clubs debt free, why not show some ambition! Bertrand is rated highly by Chelsea - No chance of a permanent move. A loan if promoted maybe. I think Pearson would want an established Prem player to replace Konchesky, providing we get promoted.
Jimmy Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Oviedo isn't a left back he was just covering for Baines injury
TJB-fox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Oviedo isn't a left back he was just covering for Baines injury I can assure you he is a left back? Izaguirre would be an unbelievable signing if we went up. In fact id love a few celtic players, commons stokes van dijk

dog_4 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I was thinking about raiding Celtic! Izaguirre,Van Dijk and James Forrest would do nicely. Also Roland Ince at Brighton looks like a great prospect
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Oviedo isn't a left back he was just covering for Baines injury Oviedo is definitely a left back. He's attack minded though so he can be used on the wing.
Jimmy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Oviedo is definitely a left back. He's attack minded though so he can be used on the wing. he was signed as a winger, funnily enough Everton don't bother having a left back considering Baines is the best in the country and is rarely injured, Oviedo is a left back in the same way Schlupp is

But as far as I'm aware he more a left back than anything and that's where he'll be come the summer when he lines up against England.
