Isnt it time Pearson comes back to dugout?

I'm not very literate :-)

haha

Not bothered about Pearson being in the stands myself. I used to think it may be beneficial for managers to sit in the stands to get a better view and perspective of the game, guess time will tell if that's the case.

Must be my age? But absolutely I'd rather see Pearson on the touchline, like Dyche was today. Even more important IMO as we have no clear leader on the pitch. I prefer seeing a manager controlling things from the edge of the pitch. Then again, I was brought up with MON.

That's exactly my thinking???????????????:-)

Don't get me wrong, if i had the choice i too would rather see him on the touchline.

But i don't believe it will affect the results.

Just to make a point about the 'leader on the pitch'. He was on the touchline last season, and our away from was even more gash..

Steve McLaren sits in the stands, Derby have win 6 games on the bounce. Irrelevant point as he communicates his message to Stowell and Shakey anyway.

I don't think its at all irrelevant. Hes the manager, the boss... He should be the figure the players are looking to when they need to. For a million quid a year, I dont think thats too much to ask, or to expect.

As I said, maybe times have changed, but my opinion on this hasn't and won't.

I never saw Brian Little delegating all this duty to John Gregory, or Martin to John Robertson.

Just feels wrong, to me.

Would much rather him be on the touchline myself. There is a reason that he is the manager and Shakespeare is an assistant manager. During our very slack 35 mins in the second half today i'm sure Pearson would have been nailing into them what he wants from them like he used to. Just don't see the advantage of him being up in the stands, must be a reason why 99% of managers are out there on the touchline and not sat in the stand?

Totally agree with jimmeh and col

a manager should be on the touchline rallying the troops etc - been pissed off with this for a while now but knew people would be saying 'bet you said f all when we went on a good run ' well I did.

What Nigel is doing is a director of football (Pleatish)

NP is our manager - he should behave like one

Personally I think that from the stands you get a better perpective of the game. If you have ever sat down low you get a different view of the game compared to sitting higher up. Up high in my opinion you tend to spot the oppositions weak points more easily. Thus being able to capitalise on that. I can however see many fans point of view regarding showing players that you really care. Sorry but for me the manager should always sit high up in the stand.

Him sitting in the stands gives him a better view of the game, and then make better tatcical decisions based on the game. How is a manager on the touchline meant to see the other side of the pitch, whereas in the stands they can see the whole of the pitch and a better view of the action.

No, you get a far better view of the have to make decisions from the stand.

If the players need him standing on the touchline to motivate them they shouldn't be here.

You would never hear another sportsman saying they need that and virtually every other its the norm for the coach to be sat up there. Why are footballers such a special case?

Bizarre comments once more IMO.

I'm just watchin MOTD.. you know, where the best managers and clubs in Britain play against each other and so far I've not seen a single manager watching the game from a lofty position in the stands?

When the FA impose a touchline ban to a manager, they do it for a reason. Nige appears to self-impose one.

As for this argument that you can't see the game properly from the touchline? WHAT?

Some people will go to any lengths to defend Pearson on this... lol

Personally, I dont get it.

I don't see how it's defending Pearson, I'd be of the sane opinion if it was any manager.

It wouldn't suprise me if he gets a seat at The Hawthorns! :xmasdry: .

I do hope so. Perhaps our players can then take the chains off get forward more and not be frightened to venture over the halfway line.

It's like some people want Pearson to get sacked, this is our best chance for promotion in years and people want to sack the best manager we've had in years.

Pearsonally, I think the people that want him out are backwards. I appreciate it that you might not like him but wanting him out now is simply pathetic.

Dyche was roaring his team on, jumping up and down and living the game.

Looking at our great leader sitting their swigging a water bottle while his team bottled it, yet again, says it all really.

Yeah, really helped them smash us and claim the three points, didn't it? Oh, wait...

im afraid ive watched football from a touchline 1000s of times and understood and seen everything thats happened . he is the only manager to do it at the mo . his presence should be felt by the players and like a pack , he should be top dog barking out instructions with his voice having feeling, getting a reaction . it just isnt right , not working , looks biggy big bollox and needs addressing imo quickly  . when we win anyone could be in charge but imo pearsons voice should be a lift to our team . if what your saying is true , he shouldve been at home and able to rewind sky+ sending the odd text by mobile phone into the dug out ????? he needs to get back with his troops in the frontline of action not watching them fight wars from the top of a mountain .

Well they were a lot more lively and pressuring when not having the ball which is what he was roaring them on to do. A point was better for them that it was for us.

So many people desperate to defend him.....

He's one of the only managers to do it... He's yet to be successful, if it was the best way to manage everyone would do it

If it works then I don't really care, if it doesn't get your ****ing arse to the touchline and sort it out,

So far it's worked so not fussed, but Christ people will do anything to defend him on here
