jimmeh Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 Just doesn't seem right anymore him being in the stand. He's the manager. He should be giving instructions to the players. Not Shakespeare every game.
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 He should do whatever works for him. Only reason this is being mentioned is because we've had a few off games. If Pearson believes he's better off up high then it's silly to criticise just because it isn't the normal way of doing things.
jimmeh Posted 14 December 2013 Author Posted 14 December 2013 Yeah who cares ! If it's such an advantage for the manager to sit in the stand then why doesn't every manager. Don't think you would find mourinho willingly sat in the stand. Seems bizarre
Webbo Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 I was thinking today, I wonder if sitting up in the stand discussing the game with Steve Walsh snr has given him a different outlook on the game. I wonder how much influence SW snr has over him now?
jimmeh Posted 14 December 2013 Author Posted 14 December 2013 It just doesn't sit right with me personally. It's almost like he's doing it to get at the fa after his touchline ban.
kingfox Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 He is off to WBA anyway. And we'll have Di Canio running up and down the touchline.
jimmeh Posted 14 December 2013 Author Posted 14 December 2013 Even when we were winning I still thought it was very strange. The manager should be in the dugout. He's not a director!
Tuna Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 Dyche was roaring his team on, jumping up and down and living the game. Looking at our great leader sitting their swigging a water bottle while his team bottled it, yet again, says it all really.

Don't think you would find mourinho willingly sat in the stand. Seems bizarre Remind me...where did he sit during our best run this season?? What an absolute moronic comment, which has nothing to do with our recent form. Bet you are one of those people who believe that they must buy their programme from the same guy before every game in order to get a good result Yeah who cares ! I bet if Pearson was sat at home watching the match on his laptop you would still stick up for him. Why can no one criticise the man.
Grewks Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 I bet if Pearson was sat at home watching the match on his laptop you would still stick up for him. Why can no one criticise the man. I will criticize his team selection, his substitutions, his signings....but not where he chooses to bloody sit. Dyche was roaring his team on, jumping up and down and living the game. Looking at our great leader sitting their swigging a water bottle while his team bottled it, yet again, says it all really. And yet for the first 45 minutes was watching his side being tactically dominated against a side which plays the same way every home game. Genius isn't he?
Simonb Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 I think he should grow a pair... forget the dugout.. needs to be on the touchline I am a pearson fan though... just dont like seeing managers in the stand
jimmeh Posted 14 December 2013 Author Posted 14 December 2013 Manager should be motivating his players on the touchline. Not letting the assistant do it while he 'observes' the match from the stands. I much preferred the Pearson throwing bottles around and shouting a few seasons ago. Had more faith in him then

So you had more faith in a manager chasing play-offs than automatic promotion? Fergie often had his assistant doing a lot of the tactical stuff, the scot only got off his chair to moan at the ref. So.....in short....i counter your mourinho with Sir Alex Ferguson.
sylofox Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 No it's your mums fault we have drawn 1 lost 2. SHE WASHED YOUR LUCKY PANT'S

At least fergie Sat with his staff and subs !
RowlattsFox Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 Does it have anything to do with his dodgy knees? Jumping around on touch line might make them worse. Don't mind him starting the match in the stands but I think he should be pitch side when things start going wrong on the field.
jimmeh Posted 14 December 2013 Author Posted 14 December 2013 He might be back in the dugout on tuesday. Wont want to miss out on shaking hands with a quality manager. One who Erm sits in the dugout. Yano that normal thing a manager does !
Tom17LCFC Posted 14 December 2013 Posted 14 December 2013 Well said? Why do you put a question mark after everything? lol I can just imagine you saying it like that.

That is the worse idea so far...hardly gonna fill the players with encouragement is it?
