Guest Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 We played a pretty good first half. Both goals were well punished mistakes but going forward we've looked pretty good without a finishing touch. whatever the result we get experience. Top of the prem punish mistakes with speed and precision.

It looks like we're playing 5 at the back but the right wing back (or whatever you call them) doesn't know about it. Was seems to be in the box defending leaving Milner to run free. Worrying me.

Get vardy on running them down, and bombing down the middle, open up the wings for dyer, Simple tactic has us beaten tonight. All we have done is pass to dyer and expect him to win the flank fight... All they have done is pushed boyata out wide so dyer is forced to cut in... Totally outclassed which is expected, but we're going down without a fight.
Monk Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Tactically we have been fairly sound and have kept them restricted to midfield possession for large parts of the first half. Our downfall has been giving away the ball to easily, and I think, not breaking fast enough. We have been to nervy to commit players to the break, and I suppose probably for the best as their second goal shows what happens when we're left exposed. Second half, let's have some more pace - I think Vardy on at some point and I'd probably take Was off as he tires.

Man City haven't really broken sweat yet to be fair. It is proper men against boys stuff. All we can really do is get gritty but we look more interested in just getting it over with.
