Brainy Posted 6 July 2014 Posted 6 July 2014 yeah because that comment was serious Your sarcasm is bad
DennisNedry Posted 6 July 2014 Posted 6 July 2014 Fantastic race! 4 points between Lewis and Nico now, sets it up lovely going into Germany.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 6 July 2014 Posted 6 July 2014 Your sarcasm is bad I'm surprised you haven't tried to put the blame on Massa.
iamafox Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 The last F1 in-season test takes place at Silverstone this Tuesday and Wednesday. Apparently, due to doubts of Raikkonen competing in the test this week, Bianchi could take his place in the Ferrari on the second day, as he will drive for Marussia on the first day.
Amin Posted 19 July 2014 Author Posted 19 July 2014 Big crash for Hamilton. He'll start 16th at most.
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Another car failure of some sort. Cue the conspiracy theorists.
DennisNedry Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Another car failure of some sort. Cue the conspiracy theorists. Well I'd be starting to think that way... if Rosberg hadn't retired from the lead at Silverstone.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Disappointing indeed, but he can still get some good points, damage limitation really... but if he scores well he is still within touching distance of Rosberg. Hamilton has been far more unlucky than Rosberg A bonus would be if Rosberg messes up... but it seems everything is going right for the Germans...
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Mmmm... the plot thickens. Rosberg ran a different set of brakes between free practice 3 and qualifying.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Right, so now Mercedes are trying to kill Lewis Hamilton so Rosberg can win the title?
isaidno Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Maldonado re signed by lotus. Surely the sponsorship money he brings in is outdone by the money it costs to keep rebuilding his car
Legend_in_blue Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Now starting from 20th. Fantastic. They should make em drive round the track the other way.
BlueSi13 Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 If Hamilton can win the world title this year it will be utterly miraculous. Back on form with some truly awe-inspiring bad luck. His only hope today is that Rosberg bins it, otherwise it's damage limitation by trying to finish in the top ten/five.
Amin Posted 20 July 2014 Author Posted 20 July 2014 Providing he doesn't have a mechanical problem or get involved with a crash, he'll make the podium.
DennisNedry Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Providing he doesn't have a mechanical problem or get involved with a crash, he'll make the podium. The podium would be a great result, bear in mind both Williams are quick.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 The podium would be a great result, bear in mind both Williams are quick. Massa out, that helps
Jimothy Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Massa needs to give more room there IMO. Cars everywhere at the start, you can't come from that far wide to the tight on that corner when you've got a full grid of cars trying to make that turn.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Superb stuff here, this is why Hamilton is the most exciting driver...
Jimothy Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Superb stuff here, this is why Hamilton is the most exciting driver... Agree. But there's done great racing from the others too.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Agree. But there's done great racing from the others too. Absolutely indeed.. been a superb race this. Hamilton wouldn't be able to do what he is doing if he had reckless drivers around him
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 We need rain now, so Hamilton can race Rosberg
DennisNedry Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Hamilton can't stretch out the tyres, needs a mad dash on both Option sets now.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Needs to look after those tyres really well... he will be going slow for at least the last 3/4 laps if he can't manage it, but if he manages it in dry conditions no safety car it will be one of the best drives... There were chances of a safety car but it didn't happen, just shows nothing is going Hamiltons way. Bottas should also have problems with the tyre later on that helps... 2nd place looks on
DennisNedry Posted 20 July 2014 Posted 20 July 2014 Hamilton would have finished 2nd if he hadn't pitted in anticipation of the safety car. By pitting early on his first stint on the options, he basically guaranteed his tyres would be ****ed by the end of the race. Rear graining cost him 2nd. If Hamilton wins the next 2 races with Rosberg 2nd, he'll still be leading the championship by virtue of the most race wins.
