DennisNedry Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 Karma? First of all, Karma doesn't exist. Secondly, what has Hamilton done to deserve bad luck?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 Rain tomorrow, it is Hamiltons only saving grace now. I think if it rains he could well do this, but he will need luck on strategy something he hasn't had all season.
yorkie1999 Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 3 1/2 years ago Mercedes were threatening to pull the plug on their f1 team, 3 years ago they started work on a new engine.

Then Hamilton comes through the field and takes a heroic podium. On a more realistic point; overtaking at Hungary is a bitch so a top 5 finish will be a great achievement for Hammy.

I would cheer if Rosberg got a mechanical failure, I'm usually one for not smiling when something goes wrong but it would makes things a little more fairer. As long as Rosberg isn't injured that is...
Far Post Gerry Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 Was that the race where Hamilton's pit stops were consistently 1-2s slower than Rosbergs? That's every race, isn't it?
Raj Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 the highs and lows of sport...to think this is s conspiracy against one of their own drivers is just stupid
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 Lewis Hamilton is the most unluckiest guy in sport, far better than Rosberg but nothing is going right for him. If Rosberg wins the title it will not be down to him being the better driver Don't be silly, Felipe will always have that award while he's on the grid. the highs and lows of sport...to think this is s conspiracy against one of their own drivers is just stupid Agreed, it's reached to the point where even if it was true sabotaging his car at this stage would be pointless.
Brainy Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 Hamilton is experiencing what Raikkonen went through in 2005. The McLaren was amazingly quick that year but suffered from numerous reliability problems, which meant he lost out to Alonso in the title race. Funnily enough, Hamilton and Rosberg are racing for the same team but why is bad luck happening to one driver and not the other? Difference is Hamilton is driving the same car as the guy he is losing out to
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 July 2014 Posted 26 July 2014 Difference is Hamilton is driving the same car as the guy he is losing out to He isn't losing, he has just been far unlucky... which is a bit strange, because overall Hamilton uses less fuel and takes less out the tyres... So you would have thought his car would be less problemic...
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 There was definitely a mention of brake problems from Hamilton yesterday. As a result, he says he was told to adjust some engine settings and then it cut out on him. This was never picked up on by anyone after the qualifying session - the final reason for the failure being a fuel leak, Doesn't make sense. Thunderstorms are forecast this afternoon but not any prolonged periods of rainfall. This is going to be mighty difficult to pick up any points from. Someone needs to take Rosberg out on the first corner.

Someone needs to take Rosberg out on the first corner. Seems his team just isn't giving him good advice at times, also letting him down during the pit stops, why tell him to make adjustments? He could have put a lap in which would have easily been quick enough for Q1 and gone straight into the pits and have a better look at the issue...It has been a long time since the true best driver won the title, if Rosberg gets through incident free while Hamilton continues to have issues it will be a hollow victory...
ADK Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 There's still a way to go. But it would be nice just to get a race where we had a straight fight between the top 2.

DennisNedry Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Lets see what happens then... http://streamking.org/skysf1.html
Jimmy Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 that's a huge shunt for Perez, if Nico could break the DRS gap from Vettel Lewis would have him pretty quick
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 If Hamilton wins this, his fans are going to be even more unbearable than they usually are.
Jimothy Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 If he wins it, it'll be an astonishing achievement, whether you like him or not.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 It's not that astonishing, it's a good achievement but when you consider how good the car is compared to the others on the grid. I'm not taking it away from him though, it's a tough track to do it on.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Telling Hamilton to let Rosberg through, if I was Hamilton I would tell them to stuff it

Jimothy Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Telling Hamilton to let Rosberg through, if I was Hamilton I would tell them to stuff it He's too far back. Hamilton isn't slowing Rosberg down, why should he slow down and let him pass.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Well beating Rosberg from starting in the pits is impressive, Hamilton has been superb in this race Yeah that's the surprising and impressive part, I don't think anybody would have doubted him getting a podium but beating Rosberg was another matter entirely.
Jimothy Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Yeah that's the surprising and impressive part, I don't think anybody would have doubted him getting a podium but beating Rosberg was another matter entirely. I thought he'd struggle to make top 5.
