foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Hamilton almost within DRS zone now... Even with everything going against him , he is only around a second behind...
wakeyfox01 Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Unsurprisingly those faster pit stops won the race for Rosberg
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Blaming the pit-stops Think it was more to down to Lewis chucking it down the road in qualifying.
Asha Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Excellent comeback from Lewis. Rosberg just seems to have the edge right now, 29 points is a massive margin.
Jimmy Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Blaming the pit-stops Think it was more to down to Lewis chucking it down the road in qualifying. when it happens every race it needs to be looked into, hopefully the BEEB will have some balls and ask as Sky bottled it
Asha Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 ! As if Mercedes would deliberately screw Lewis over. There's no need to be so sour Jimmy, he had a great race today but his qualifying let him down. If he was starting any further forward he would have probably beaten Rosberg today.
Asha Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Meanwhile, what on earth is going on at Ferrari? Fernando did well to take fifth but what the fvck is Kimi doing? He hasn't shown ANYTHING at all this season.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Happy for Bottas, feels great to get a podium finally. Would have preferred Massa to have go it but that's just how it goes. Sad that it ended in the predictable 1-2 but all in all it was a decent race. Looking forward to Silverstone. I'll refrain from responding to these "Mercedes are trying to Sabotage Lewis" comments
Jimmy Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 if it was random chance Lewis would gain as well at times, something needs looking at Lewis himself said on the podium, the same thing is happening race after race
Nalis Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Meanwhile, what on earth is going on at Ferrari? Fernando did well to take fifth but what the fvck is Kimi doing? He hasn't shown ANYTHING at all this season. Was thinking the same thing. Its like he's thought 'The car isnt good enough so fvck putting the effort in!'...
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Excellent comeback from Lewis. Rosberg just seems to have the edge right now, 29 points is a massive margin. Isn't that big, Rosberg is die some bad luck... had Lewis finished the two races he had to retire from he would be well ahead
The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Shall be interesting to see how the double points on the last race comes into play.
Brainy Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 This was the sort of stage last season when Rosberg had the edge over Hamilton (two race wins at Monaco and Silverstone). I wouldn't say he even has the edge right now, just down to luck and pit stops and not retiring). After Britain I think is where Hamilton was faster than Rosberg last season
Asha Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Yeah there's a lot of tracks to come that you'd expect Hamilton to be very strong; in particular Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Austin...
isaidno Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Shall be interesting to see how the double points on the last race comes into play. 50 points for a win , 36 for second so Hamilton needs to keep Rosberg within 14 points.
Finnegan Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Was thinking the same thing. Its like he's thought 'The car isnt good enough so fvck putting the effort in!'... Exactly this. Kimi is a world champion with limitless confidence, he's got nothing to prove and doesn't give a shit what people think. The car isn't good enough to win races so he won't waste his time. Will just stroll around for the paycheck. Did it last time, will do it now. Ferrari only have themselves to blame, their package has been terrible for years.

Beliall Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Looks to me like merc have pucked rosberg for the title. Please correct me though if im wide of the mark. Teams shouldnt be allowed to have two top drivers, they should nominate a number one, pay him the relevant amount and then have a support driver. Lets see how they get on trying to recruit hamilton et al when they know they are there in support of numero uno

Ferrari only have themselves to blame, their package has been terrible for years. In hindsight it was probably a poor decision. Hiring someone like Hulkenberg would have been better - they would have given everything to get the best out of the car. Saying that, the Ferrari is pretty terrible and Alonso is maxing the car out each race, so the Force India has a better chance of getting on the podium anyway. I'm not really sure where Ferrari go from here; the current regulations clearly don't suit them, and with the Ferrari engine pretty ordinary it could still be years before they can launch a realistic challenge to a title again.

Well it's only a poor decision if they knew when they signed him the car would be crap. Presumably most teams go in to the off season believing they'll do well. If the car was as good as Mercedes - or even Red Bull - you can bet both Kimi and Alonso would be all over the podiums. Nobody doubts his ability, just his attitude.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Bloody hell Lewis' car again! when will Rosberg start getting such issues... luckily just practice 2 and he still topped the time sheets...
isaidno Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Hamilton has to beat Rosberg on Sunday. I know there's still another 10 races after this but a 30 plus point lead would be hard to pull back
