Bryn Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Been some real quality in the Championship this season so far, for me. What would you say was the team of the year up to now? I went with: GreenTrippier Morgan Dunne CresswellArfield Bryson Lansbury DyerIngs McCormack Hell of a team, that. Quite a lot of players unlucky to miss out, not least our own Danny Drinkwater who is vastly improved this season and narrowly misses out to Lansbury.
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I thought this said Championship Totty. I'm really disappointed now, was hoping to see some females from the likes of Middlesbrough, Ipswich and Blackpool.
StanSP Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Heaton Trippier - Moore - Hill - Cresswell Bryson - Drinkwater- Reid Ings - McCormack - Austin I don't rate Green that much - a lot of his clean sheets have been acquired through his solid defence directly in front of him. I'd even put Alex McCarthy of Reading ahead of him. And as much as I hate Andy Reid and his fat self, you can't question his achievements this season - chips in with goals and assists. Tom Ince hasn't been as good as last season which is why he doesn't get in my team of the year. But that's not even to say he's done poorly. Liam Moore has been better than Morgan this season. Strikers pick themselves really, especially Ings and McCormack.

Other than that I think you're not far off. Although I'm thinking there must be a better winger than Dyer in this league. Surely

Although I'm thinking there must be a better winger than Dyer in this league. Surely Drinky is desperately unlucky but Bryson runs that Derby team. The thing is, Championship wingers all have flaws, that's why they don't make it to the top flight. Despite his, Dyer is having one hell of a season and opposition fans routinely go away from games with us saying he scared the shit out of them.
AKCJ Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Heaton Trippier Moore Hill Cresswell Reid Drinkwater Bryson Kranjcar McCormack Rhodes
kingfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Schmeichel Trippier - Shackell - Moore - Cresswell Adomah - Bryson - Barton - Lansbury Ings - McCormack
seasider Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 If that's Andy Reid, utter madness to be ahead of Tom Ince. As much as it pains me to say it, Matty Phillips (now at QPR) would be close on the right wing.
Guest ttfn Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 McCarthy Trippier Dunne Shackell Assou-Ekotto Drinkwater Bryson Barton McCormack Ings Dyer
Libertine Dream Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Can't possibly say, a tv game a week and a game against us isnt enough for me to judge
theessexfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Knockaert James Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Vardy
LCFC FOX Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Green Trippier Chambers Dunne Moore Reid Drinkwater Bryson Vaughan Ings McCormack Manager - Sean Dyche
Bayfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Knockaert James Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Vardy that is why we are top.
ScouseFox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I fúcking love Lloyd to bits but surely Tom Ince is better than him? I don't watch much Championship football unless it involves us so I couldn't comment. I don't even remember seeing half the names in this thread ever play a game.

He ain't been as good this season, think it said at the weekend it was the first time he had scored from open play since September.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Only Lloyd gets in in there if I'm honest with myself. Schmeichel has made game costing mistakes, our strikers haven't scored a lot of goals from open play, Drinkwater runs it close but there are better CMs in the Championship including a couple from Derby and can we really say Moore is in the best two centre backs when we can count the number of clean sheets on one hand?
Donut Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Green Trippier Dunne Morgan Assou-Ekotto Dyer Lansbury Bryson Phillips McCormack Ings
theessexfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Not Morgan, surely? He hasn't been the best centre-half for us even...
StanSP Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 If that's Andy Reid, utter madness to be ahead of Tom Ince. As much as it pains me to say it, Matty Phillips (now at QPR) would be close on the right wing. Well, it's based on this season. And for this season, Andy Reid has been better than Tom Ince. Simple as that.
Father Ted Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Are people really saying Lansbury and Bryson over our Drinkwater and even Matty James?! Mental. Also, when will people get over Tom Ince?! Nowhere near as good as people say. Lloyd > Tom Ince all day long.
Banks Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I'd have Drinky instead of Bryson anyday. Other than that I think you're not far off. Although I'm thinking there must be a better winger than Dyer in this league. Surely I like Drinkwater but Bryson has 11 goals this season, and he's a centre midfielder
Bryn Posted 27 December 2013 Author Posted 27 December 2013 10 goals and 7 assists in the league. Like I say, Drinky is unlucky, but there have been two better central midfielders than him this season.
leicesterisme Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I couldn't give the best Championship team as I don't watch other teams enough but I'm not sure there are two CM's better than Drinkwater in this league, certainly not on his performances this season anyway.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 It's interesting that we're top, and yet hardly any of our players are getting into these lineups. I agree, our team is definitely greater than the sum of its parts at the moment. But lets not forget that the gulf of quality between the best and worst players in the Championship is far, far smaller than in the PL.
