Pearson chants or lack of them

Am I the only city fan to notice there is very little Pearson chants at the home games. And I can't work out why there was loads in league one and the following season. We are top of the league surly Nigel deserves a little sing song from the fans to show our gratitude?

I've been down Filbert Street on a cold Wednesday night against Plymouth along with 8,000 fellow sufferers (there were times when it wasn't full & the atmosphere was shit).  We still managed a few "David Pleat's blue & white army".

It does seem odd that Nigel doesn't get more praise from the stands.  Not that he appears to be at all bothered by it.

There's still not enough, especially considering he's our best manager in a decade, but there has been more in the last few months than before. Our away following has started to show him plenty of love also.

It's a bit weird.

Our support seems to have lost the consistent "managers name' blue and white army song as well now which has been one of our regulars since the early 90's.

I loved it when that used to go on for 20-25 mins.

It's a bit harder when he's up in the stand

So a Pearson start the wave works ? Thing is the "singers" think that would be so old fashioned, I would put crass but i am not sure if they would understand, they only want new ones and wonder

why no one joins in.

Also I think Pearson is the victim of backlash from the silly season and over hyped expectations of the SGE era, remember the busy up with a fan last year?

Am embarrassed to say this but when 'Martin o'neils, blue and white army used to be sang when sat up in the carling stand,

I used to think it went 'Bardon hill, blue and white army' :-). Because of how quickly it got sang!!!

Only when I started singing it and gettin funny looks it clicked,my excuse was I was 11 years old and it was me 1st game under o'neil, against Scarborough in the coca cola cup.

I prefer watching the football, to listening to bleating sheep.

You see, the beautiful thing about the human body is that you can use your eyes and ears at the SAME time, and your mouth too. So you can, watch the game, cheer on the lads and listen to your fellow supporters.

Got to admit whenever EIEIEIO up the football league we go, I still sometimes sing 'Brian Littles king' instead of Nigel, I assume because we seemed to be singing that for 3 solid years I will never be able to remove Brian little completely!
