My Nads Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Just before a game I have read what the opposing team thinks there chances are against us. I'm surprised how many of them say we have a lot of bandwagon fans. I haven't noticed any, but I was just wondering if anyone has noticed any workmates that are now suddenly Leicester fans!! I have to say I'm not too worried about them as long as they stay Leicester fans.
foxfanazer Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 No mate. I don't think we are that sort of club. I know a few that have started to go to more games this season but they were Leicester fans long before
AndWhat? Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Well it's a lot harder to get away tickets than it was in 2006........
LCFC1996 Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 A couple yes, quite embarrassing when they can't name 5 players but what are you gonna do?
Deucalion Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Our average attendance this season is fairly similar to our average attendance in League One. So it's just another way for jealous fans to have a go at us.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 That's the way things work kid, more wins more arses in seats.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 ME :-) PAP and what's worse is I had my car written of two weeks again and cannt even consider going for another 4 weeks :-( still I will be there for Birch's run
ousefox Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Well there will certainly be an extra 10k at every game if we were in the prem.
Deucalion Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 A couple yes, quite embarrassing when they can't name 5 players but what are you gonna do? Back in 1990 I didn't know many players names and didn't really have a clue about football, but I gave it a chance and I am still a regular now. We want new fans. There are very few negatives of new fans, apart from having to queue longer for a pie at halftime, and many positives. So give them a few games to find their feet !!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Well there will certainly be an extra 10k at every game if we were in the prem. You reckon ? Prices up ? Same gates for 75% of games
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Well it's a lot harder to get away tickets than it was in 2006........ Everyone's taking more to away games recently, they've become much more popular I think.
lgfualol Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 anyone that has a problem with 'plastic' fans needs to run into wall a couple of times. Be careful not to knock your fedoras off.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Well there will certainly be an extra 10k at every game if we were in the prem. I dont think that would happen. Sure, youd have your showpiece games in the prem that would sell out but I dont think games against teams from mid table down would sell out. I think if we go up, we'd probably average 28k or so over a season as a guess.

I'm more than happy for new fans, but they support Man U really and have gone on about how crap we are for years!

Yes but some people need to feel superior to others at certain junctures, helps with low self esteem. So boo new plastic fans, WHERE WERE YOU WHEN WE WERE SHIT!
Munshi Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 anyone that has a problem with 'plastic' fans needs to run into wall a couple of times. Be careful not to knock your fedoras off. I think its fine if they've decided to come to quite a few games a season, its just the ones that come to the Man City game etc and then slag the team off for losing, and then dont show up until the next big game.

I think if we go up, we'd probably average 28k or so over a season as a guess. Our average attendance in 03/04 was 31,000. Not much difference between now and then really. Maybe the post-recession period will knock off 2k at most. We'd have a better team and more money invested in players which could influence people too, with away fans selling out as well.
AndWhat? Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 We'd easily get 30,000 every game if we made the prem. It's been 10 years!!
davieG Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Yes where were all today's fans in 1987/88 when the biggest gate of the season 13852 bloody plastics.
sylofox Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 We'd easily get 30,000 every game if we made the prem. It's been 10 years!! You won't be far off season ticket sales will soar to start with probably 22/23k
sylofox Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Yes where were all today's fans in 1987/88 when the biggest gate of the season 13852 bloody plastics. I was one of them sadly can't get now
AmyLGK Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 More fans = more money for the club so let them bask in the glory of the moment
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Yes where were all today's fans in 1987/88 when the biggest gate of the season 13852 bloody plastics. Is being 3 a worthy excuse? I
My Nads Posted 28 January 2014 Author Posted 28 January 2014 I think after the Derby game we picked up some admirers and rightly so! We were fantastic, so I think in other areas of the country some of them are climbing onto the Foxes bandwagon or I should say steamroller! There are a lot of ManU "fans" looking for a new team!
davieG Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Is being 3 a worthy excuse? I No 3 year olds biggest plastics of them all, you could walk couldn't. I've even seen 3 year olds down there with dummies in their mouths how can they sing like that.
