kbg Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I understand that. And I'm sorry to go off the pre-match topic here, but I was referring to how you and the Bournemouth lad were bitching about who has the biggest pitch. Lad? If only. No bitching mate, just an attempt the correct the original posters opinion of our pitch and possibly take the piss at the same time. Talking of pissing; there's over an inch of rain forcast for Dean Court today and showers after lunch on Saturday. It really has to be in doubt. The size of the pitch debate is now officially going from metres to gallons. Bring waders.
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Nah Derby and Forest are both bigger clubs than us. You can't just discount 2 European Cups (for Forest) and a league title and European cup semi-final (for derby).

If your talking what they have won then yes but in terms of fan base etc not a chance are they bigger than us
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 If your talking what they have won then yes but in terms of fan base etc not a chance are they bigger than us For starters, surely any "big club" debate has to factor in silverware on at least some level. Otherwise it would just be a question of who has the biggest attendances. Also, both Forest and Derby have higher average attendances than us this season and Forest are taking more away from home. This is whilst we enjoy our best season for at least 10 years.
Beliall Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 big club to me means history. without european trophies , in my mind forest could not be considered bigger than us. blackburn, also bigger thanks to the prem trophy,
Lobsterboyuk Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 In the modern era there's a tiny number of big clubs, everybody else is just foraging on the scraps

What are the crowd differences, not much I suspect so again that argument is null and void, I will NEVER admit that either of those two clubs are "bigger" than Leicester because they aren't

suffolk fox Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Re this game they are apparently signing Kermogant today. I am now off to the bookies because it is odds on he will score against us tommorow.
Wheels Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Is anyone going early to watch the QPR v Burnley game on sky beforehand. If so can you recommend a pub?
KFS Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Is anyone going early to watch the QPR v Burnley game on sky beforehand. If so can you recommend a pub? The Wetherspoons in Boscombe. Everyone get down there, it's 10 minutes from the ground!
Wheels Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 The Wetherspoons in Boscombe. Everyone get down there, it's 10 minutes from the ground! Thanks Steve... I'm in!!

Bert Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 The Wetherspoons in Boscombe. Everyone get down there, it's 10 minutes from the ground! Wetherspoons don't have sky do they?I also believe Yann hasn't made the deadline in time to play tomorrow.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 There's a pretty big difference between Forest winning back to back European titles and us being 3 and 4 places ahead of them respectively in the second tier! You were talking about attendances!!! I've already said if your talking about trophy history yes they are ahead of us historically but definately NOT potential or crowd wise etc
KFS Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Wetherspoons don't have sky do they? I also believe Yann hasn't made the deadline in time to play tomorrow. I've got the Sky Go app on my phone, you can pass it around. Seriously though, lets all get down there and have a walk to the ground!
deejdeej Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Derby are bigger than us because they are better known around the world. All corners of the globe were laughing at their 11 point haul.
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 You were talking about attendances!!! I've already said if your talking about trophy history yes they are ahead of us historically but definately NOT potential or crowd wise etc I was replying to your first sentence, sorry if I/you have got the wrong end of the stick. And I'm not just talking about silverware, it's a mix of attendance, silverware and recent success (where all 3 have been equally crap) And as I keep saying they have higher attendances than us this season and in Derby's case have done for a number of years,
Guest Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 So will Kermorgant score against us on Saturday? Can deadline day signings play the next day?

I think Derby have just had the edge in recent seasons due to the fact they give lots of children's tickets away free mainly otherwise all 3 teams / cities are very similar size potential and quality really nowt to choose between us all. Definately don't feel below them in anything but historical silverware
Fox 4 Life Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 So will Kermorgant score against us on Saturday? Is the Pope catholic? That horrible Frenchie will torment us one way or another for as long as he is playing :-(
Happy Fox Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 F**k kermo, just don't boo the c**t and he won't score.
Babylon Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Reading? Seriously, wtf? Birmingham and Boro When was the last time we had about 11,000 at a home league game?
