Uncle Albert Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Thought I would make a thread for England this year, there's always a load of England threads so thought we might as well have everything in one, so we can discuss squads, friendlies, our starting elevens and what not. Friendlies against Denmark, Peru, Ecuador and Honduras before the World Cup, are we having a Friendly at Wembley before they set off for Brazil? Usually do. ENGLAND.
Uncle Albert Posted 30 January 2014 Author Posted 30 January 2014 Peru is at Wembley. Ah yeah, nice one. Usually try to get to the last home game before a tournament.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Adam Johnson? Yes please, looks back to his best...
theessexfox Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Will probably be off the boil again in a few months time. Poyet's got him playing very well.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Johnson, only if keeps up this form. Will probably be off the boil again in a few months time. Poyet's got him playing very well. That's always been the problem with Johnson though, just never been consistent enough to be a regular England player
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Will probably be off the boil again in a few months time. Poyet's got him playing very well. Like every England player
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 There'll be some sensational headline from the tabloids that destroy any moral we have. I'm more interested in the qualifiers for the euros starting in September than any games til the WC. I need to get one in to be eligible for France
K1FOX Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 The kid who scored the peno and the last goal Yan Dhanda is meant to be some talent. At liverpool atm. And the lad in midfield with the big hair plays for us I believe ?
GingerrrFox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 The kid who scored the peno and the last goal Yan Dhanda is meant to be some talent. At liverpool atm. And the lad in midfield with the big hair plays for us I believe ? The number 5 who came on in the 2nd half plays for us Darnell Johnson. The lad with the afro is Marcus Edwards and he's at Spurs and is a heck of a player.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 The kid who scored the peno and the last goal Yan Dhanda is meant to be some talent. At liverpool atm. And the lad in midfield with the big hair plays for us I believe ? Didn't Liverpool buy Yan Dhanda from West Brom? I feel sorry for them. Seems like all their best young talents get poached straight from their academy - Dhanda, Jerome Sinclair, Izzy Brown etc
Uncle Albert Posted 25 February 2014 Author Posted 25 February 2014 Did anyone watch the program on Sky Sports 1 this evening with Roy Hodgson, Gary Neville and Glen Hoddle, discussing England? I have got it recorded, from what I have read on Twitter and what not, Hodgson came across pretty well and spoke well about his World Cup squad plans. This year the 7 standby players will be informed before the warm up camp that they are standby players.
MC Prussian Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Woy may use a penalty psychologist in order to prepare for the World Cup: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26332893
Jimothy Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Woy may use a penalty psychologist in order to prepare for the World Cup: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26332893 Interesting that he's getting David Brailsford involved too. Obviously British cycling has had a lot of success, hopefully some parts of what made that success is transferable.
Dan Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Hodgson, Hoddle and Neville is a decent panel. I wish I'd recorded that.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Woy may use a penalty psychologist in order to prepare for the World Cup: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26332893 I'd wouldn't worry about that Woy, if we manage to get to a penalty shoot out you've already surpassed most of our expectations.
Soar Fox Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Hodgson, Hoddle and Neville is a decent panel. I wish I'd recorded that. It's repeated at 10pm on Sky sports 1 tonight.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 I'd wouldn't worry about that Woy, if we manage to get to a penalty shoot out you've already surpassed most of our expectations. Minimum expectation has to be to get out of the group.
Dan Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Minimum expectation has to be to get out of the group. For the deluded. It's repeated at 10pm on Sky sports 1 tonight. Ah is it? Cheers. Did you see it? Was it worth watching or..?
